I have five photos to share with you.
Random shots I took throughout the week.
I have to say that my favorite lens is my macro lens.
I just love the wonderful sharpness and blur it gives me.
We were taking an afternoon walk and saw this little fella
running out in the rain. I think he was a little bit camera shy.
Our campground host informed us that this little fella is a weasel.
And they have been eating all the squirrels in the campground.
Hummm... Maybe that's why there weren't too many squirrels around.
Lots and Lots of Bees and Butterflies.
I don't know what it is, but I could spend all day photographing them.
And I did.
You know I was a happy camper when I woke up to not 1, not 2 but 4 Moose in
our campsite. I can't wait to see what kind of animals I will see at our next stop.
I just hope we don't see any bears. I am scared to death of them.
See, I told you I spent all day photographing these guys.
We have left Spruces campground and we are recharging
our batteries here in Provo, UT. On Sunday we will take off for
our next stop which will be a campground right outside of Pocatello, ID.
If you would like to read more about our adventure you can
hop on over to my husbands blog HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
And thanks so much for all your kind comments.
I appreciate everyone of them.
And Thanks Nancy.
I love participating in your memes when I can.

ReplyDeleteAwesome pics!! LOVING the moose!! And I am with you on the bears ... they are gorgeous, majestic creatures ... but I am scared to DEATH of them!!! :)
ReplyDeleteyour photos are scrumptious (first word that came into my head) the macros !!! I love Moose, and Bears and Weasels, what a wealth of animals you've seen so far...fantastic-next to the man's lens :-).
ReplyDeleteBees and butterflies - with photos like this it must have been a wonderful day. I've not used a true macro lens, only my Raynox clip on. Please tell me how close (or far away) you have to be for such wonderful insect shots.
ReplyDeletelove the bee & winged shots. never sure how you tell if it is a moth or butterfly? they are gorgeous no matter what.
ReplyDeleteenjoy your weekend. ( :
Random beauty indeed my friend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having a wonderful time and getting to see lots of things. Good for you.
Travel safe my friend!
xo Catherine
You really feel like you are in the wilds when you see moose in your camp! OH MY! And I'm not sure I've ever seen a weasel up close. What a cute photo of him....amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteYou saw some cool stuff, Linda! I can't believe a weasel, with a rotten rep as they do have, can be so cute! And the clarity of the butterflies antennae (?) is amazing. Did you do that with a 50 mm lens?
ReplyDeleteAll your photos are beautiful. The little weasel looks so cute -- who knew they are such cannibals! And the moose, what a treat! Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventure.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know weasels ate squirrels . . . This is a super cute portrait.
ReplyDeleteYou are RIGHT to be cautious about bears.
Moose visitors . . YOU are wealthy.
Thank you for sharing so much treasure with us.
Happy Travels!
What exciting visitors, well done for capturing the little weasel very elusive creatures here! Happy to see you're enjoying your journey, hugs Gay x
ReplyDeleteLinda, that weasel close-up is so adorable. Makes one just want to pet it........maybe.
ReplyDeleteThe 'Macro' has always been my favorite photo setting also. Love yours that you've shared here. It's always fun with that setting to see what the camera saw that the eye sometimes doesn't. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonder group of photo's, Linda, I am hoping you will do a set of trip books! Wouldn't it be great to be able to remember everything you see this year? Thanks for sharing your trip with us! Hugs...
ReplyDeleteNeat set of pictures, Linda! What fun things to see and photograph. Have a great rest of your trip.
ReplyDeleteSuch absolutely stunning pics of our beautiful world! TFS, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love all the macro shots, such details, great job! AND I had no idea that weasels helped out in the squirrel population...I mean that in a sad way. I just came home from almost a week of camping, and the squirrels are everywhere!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. How great to see Moose and weasels! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots!! I would be right there with you ... photographing everything ... I've never seen a real moose ...
ReplyDeleteWhat cool photos! I love the one of the moose; I have never seen a moose ever! And bears would freak me right out. Lol. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos! And yes, bees and butterflies are exquisite, and the bees especially do such important work! :)
ReplyDeleteThe weasel is cute, but yes, a weasel. I've heard they have voracious appetites!
Wow wow wow!!! My son and I keep looking at your five photos, in awe! That weasel is too cute! Do you know I spent a week looking everywhere in New Hamphire for a moose...never found one...on my bucket list, but now I am way happier!! Lovin' your moose, Linda. Aaaah. Gorgeous butterfly pics. Wow.
ReplyDeleteSuch glorious adventures you are having. Love your photos of your life on the road...!!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing trip you are on. Keep safe, have fun and when you've seen all you want to see come home happy and with a ton of pictures.
ReplyDeletewow! you have seen a lot of wild life.
ReplyDeleteI am quite sure that my favorite lens is my macro, too.
ReplyDeletethese are wonderful photographs, Linda.
Love that little weasel.
I wish you a wonderful weekend, my friend. xo.
Good grief that lens is amazing! Those feathery little antennas on the first butterfly are so cool. Speaking of cool, four moose is pretty awesome. Make sure you recharge the camera batteries too while your in Provo. LOL Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHey, did that "weasel" have a decent bushy tail? Because if im not mistaken (i work in forestry) what you have there is related to the weasel, but is actually a pine marten! They are pretty feisty critters that do eat other species, even birds, so its fantastic that you got such a great photo without getting your face chewed on :)!
ReplyDeleteI am just so happy to follow your happy trail, needless to say, those photos are GORGEOUS!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the macro lens might be my next buy!
I could just look at your pics all day! Linda! Such beauty you always capture!Lots of fun to following you around my friend, next best thing to being there :) Cant wait to see some pics from Pocatello.Used to spend lots of time in Idaho and Montana. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots, as always!
ReplyDeleteWeasels are adorable for such ferocious little critters. :)
Ours turn white in the winter (when in white form I believe they are called ermine).. I love to watch them run on the snow.
MOOSE in the camp site!! Wow! Our moose here, and in Canada where we go each year, are the most shy & elusive creatures. Bears can be a nuisance, but don't worry me as much. I'd actually be more nervous encountering a moose - the bulls are known up north to be some of the most moody & unpredictable animals there are. I think we have a different, larger variety, though - yours look quite up close & friendly!
I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Idaho!! Safe travels, and looking forward to your next stop. :)
Awesome pictures! I did not know that about weasels! Looking forward to the next travel adventure! Happy Weekend and Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Pretty shots! That's funny, I just said that to Russell just yesterday, that my macro is still my favorite lens. :-) I think that weasel is kind of cute...didn't know they ate squirrels though! wow! Safe travels my friend.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh you are having the time of your life traveling around. What fun it must be to see all these amazing creatures. The Weasel does look a little shy. How cool that you saw Moose too.
ReplyDeleteYour photo's are fabulous.
I skipped R5 this week but will post tomorrow.
Sounds like you're having an awesome trip. You wildlife sighting/photos are spectacular.
ReplyDeletewell we sure have some great little critters here on this post...what a delight...the weasel sure made me laugh what a fitting name for them. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, Linda. These are all great. Love the antena (or whatever they're called) on the butterflies. Love the weasel too. So glad to be catching up on your blog.
ReplyDeleteYour camera is worth EVERY penny it cost! Your photos are so crisp and AMAZING! That weasel actually looks Cute! What's up with that???!!! Are you ever traveling to Florida?
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe you saw a moose! Whenever, I go for walks up at our cabin, I always want to see a moose and never have...I'm terrified that I'll come across a bear too.
ReplyDeleteYour macro shots looks amazing! I got a macro lens earlier this year and I haven't had such good luck with it. I feel like my shots always look blurry.
Wow Linda! What awesome photos! I love the gorgeous butterfly!
ReplyDeleteWow, what gorgeous photos, it looks as though you are having a wonderful life of camping, so many places to go, so many things to see and discover...how fun!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, especially the bees and butterflies x
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos, Linda! You capture nature so brilliantly! Cannot believe the sharp detail you manage to capture, especially of those tiny critters. The little weasel is just adorable, too...although sad they are eating up all the squirrels.
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled for you & even more thrilled to hear you are headed to ID. If you continue north from Pocatello- please let me know. :) Loving all your green you are capturing!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why a weasel is such a derogatory term for a human -- they are quite sweet looking! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! I love it when you take your macro lens out to play!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Linda...I would LOVE to see moose! My son lived in Pocatello for over a year..we went there two years ago...beautiful area.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are breathtaking photos. Thanks for sharing.
