CCCB - Blue Christmas & Blissful ATC Swap!

Hello to all of you!   I am back from my Wonderful Vacation!
It was so hard to get up and go to work this morning after such a
good time off!  But the minute I stepped into my class and saw all those smiling little
faces it was good to be back!

It is also that time of the week for City Crafter Challenge..
And I am hosting this week, So of course I wanted to do a Christmas theme!
And for some weird reason the first thing that popped into my head was Elvis's
Blue Christmas song.  So I went with it..

So that is the challenge this week!  To make a Christmas Project using the color Blue..

So here is what I came up with!

Some of my favorite thing are on here..  My DP is from K&CO.
I did a little sewing and added some lace.

And some yummy seam binding I got from Kirsty!

I just love this image and I just feel so bad because I don't
know which site I got it from.  I got it awhile ago!  If any one knows
please let me know and I will give them some credit.

And three little buttons to top it off..

If you want to play along you can head on over to CCCB!
Or you can hop on over and take a look at what all the other ladies have created!
I am sure you won't be disappointed.

I had a pretty crazy week last week..  Work was a little more challenging
than usual and then we celebrated Thanksgiving with my family on Saturday!
And then we left Saturday evening for our annual trip to Santa Barbara!

But now all that craziness is behind me for a little while.
Because I am sitting here at the Ocean right now enjoying my life to the fullest!

These guys are alot of fun to watch!
They are just staring off into the big ocean.. I wonder what
they are thinking?

We did a little shopping yesterday afternoon in downtown Ventura!
What a cool little town!  I can't believe we have drove right passed here
for over 9 years with out even stopping.  Well that won't happen any more.

I got this photo of some vintage cameras at a really fun little antique shop!

To top off the perfect day, we had a perfect sunset!
We sat and had a glass of wine while watching the sun dip
down into the Ocean!  It was so Beautiful!

Well friends I am off and I hope I get a chance to visit everyone this
week..  I will be back later in the week with more photo's.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I really do appreciate all the sweet comments!

Tag Tuesday!

Hello my friends, I am so glad you stopped by.
I am back with a fun little tag I made for this weeks challenge
over at Tag Tuesday!

Pam from Scrappy Pam is the  hostess this week and
has come up with a fun little challenge..

The Challenge was to show off your background!  And to use
the least amount of embellishment that you can..
That was a tough one for me..  I like to load up my tags most of the time..

So I used clear embossing powder.  And then a whole lot of
Distressing ink!  I just love this stamp.. It is the first time I have used it.

So sorry I could help myself. I had to add a some little items..
Thanks Pam for the great challenge.. It was fun!

To see all the other entries you can go over to Kard Krazy HERE!

*****

I just thought I would show off some of my leaf photos

The fall season is almost gone..  I do love this time of year and it always goes
by so quickly..  I wish it could just last a little longer..
Just think in one week it will be Thanksgiving..  Time flies when your having fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ros is our Host this week and she has come up with a fun
challenge this week..  Little Children.  Your creation
is to have a Child/Children on it.

Here is what I came up with!

We were so lucky to get a great sponsor this week.

They supplied the DT and Our Guest Designer for this week (Diane Jaquay)
with a scrapbook graphic kit called
child's garden.  I just used one of there tags, but the rest of the
DT creations look wonderful.  You should go check them out HERE!

I just love the way this little image looked.  I have had
it so long, I don't even know where I got it..
But she looks so darn happy that it just puts a smile on my face..

How about you! Do you got something to put a big smile on your
face..  I sure hope so!  Thanks for always stopping by and leaving me

A little Bingo Tag...

I had a little time to play in my craft room today
and here is what I came up with..

A Tag for Tag Tuesday..
This weeks challenge was to use a Bingo card
on your tag.  I have a couple of  Bingo cards
 (Thanks you Lynn Stevens)
but the problem was they were a Little to big to put on a tag.
So I ran it through my copier and voila! I had a small bingo card.
Thank you Louise for another fun challenge..

I am also entering this into the play The play date cafe,
I have been saying for weeks that I really wanted to play along in
one of there challenges..

I had a lot of fun putting this together..

I got this cute little image from Clearly Vintage.

Thanks so for stopping by and
I hope everyone is enjoying there week!

Thank you!

Hello everyone.. It is that time of the week,

The very talented and sweet Cheryl is our host this week!
She is challenging us to make a Thank You Project.

I use so many thank you cards and Birthday cards,
So I thought this was a wonderful challenge.

This little butterfly is from K&Co..
And Kirsty gave me this wonderful Gingham paper..
I love it.  Thanks Kirsty!

This Thank you stamp is from Verve..  And as you can
see I did a lot of sewing on this card.  It is the only thing these
days that I use my machine on.

If you want to see what the other  DT created you
can head on over to CCCB!  I am sure you won't be
disappointed.

While making this card it got me thinking of all the things
in my life I have to be grateful for.

My Wonderful Husband.
My sweet Daughter.
A Job I love most of the time!
My two adorable Kitty's
My whole family..
My BFF (Becca)

And all the wonderful friends here in Blogland.

After all Friends and family are the most important thing
in life.  Don't you agree!

I really do have a blessed life. I am so thankful for
everything the Good Lord has given me.

So what are you Thankful for?

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.

Front & Back....

Hello everyone, I am back with my Tag for this weeks
Tag Tuesday challenge..  The Challenge this week was to
use the Front and Back of your tag.

So here is the front side of my tag!  I started off by stamping
the green card stock. Then I tore it at a diagonal and then
I cut it in half.  I wanted it to look like it wrapped around my tag.
Well I didn't like the looks of that so I cut off some of the sides so it
could be framed by the cream card stock.. Which took away
the wrapped around effect I was going for.. Oh well...

So here is the Back side of my Tag..
I got that Believe stamp awhile ago and have
not used it till now.  Can you believe I did no
stitching on this tag!

I have a little drawer full of flowers..  But none of them looked
wright on my tag.   So I made my own.. They just seem to fit better.

Thanks Louise for Another fun Challenge..

If you get the chance you should pop
over to see all the wonderful Tags everyone made at

Thank so much for stopping by, I hope you
all are having a happy week!

Hi Everyone, I am back from a trip I took to Zion National Park.
I am glad to say I was only sick for a couple of days.
And I did get a chance to do alot of hiking and enjoying great outdoors.

Well it is Tuesday which means time for a challenge over at
City Crafters Challenge,  Yep I am hosting again This week.
It's a Digi Stamp Challenge.  So Here is the Digi stamp I chose to use.
It is from our sponsor this week.  "SOME ODD GIRL".

Isn't it cute..  I didn't see any of these guy while I was camping but
I did see all kinds of wild life..

So the challenge is you can create anything you want as long as
it has a Digi Stamp on it..  And there are so many out there to chose from.
To get all the details of the challenge you can hop on over to
CCCB.  You just might win a free Digi stamp from our sponsor

********

I just thought I would share some of the photos from our trip.

I just love this bee shot, I know some of you might have already seen
it on my other blog..  but I just had to add it here.. He just look
so cool to me.

I caught a shot of this little guy. I think he was enjoying the
beautiful sunshine.

If you have ever been to Zion and hiked the
emerald pools you will recognize this shot of the water
fall there. It is such a pretty hike.

We saw two or three of these guys.  They were such a bright
green you could spot them right away.

I felt a little sorry for these horses they were cover with flies
but they did seem pretty happy.

All the leaves were changing colors. It was so pretty.
I just love this time of year.

Well we try to make it up to Zion at least once a year
and we always have to stop a our favorite little cafe.
If you are ever in the area you should stop in
the food is wonderful.

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting me.
I hope you enjoyed your stay.

Hugs, Linda
