Hello Friends...

I have been off work all last week and I still have this week off
and I have been non stop busy..  Mostly with that cute little Grand-baby..
Of course a lot of family in for the Easter Holiday..  Busy, Busy..
But I must say I have enjoyed every bit of it..

So here is my card for this weeks challenge over at

Cheryl is our Lovely host this week..  The challenge is called
Mother May I..
All you need to do is have the word Mother or Mum, Madre, Mommy...
on your project..
Pretty simple..  And Mothers day is right around the corner..

So here is what I came up with for this week..

I made a grid card..  I must say I got this idea from wonderful crafter named
Jacqueline..  She makes the most beautiful grid cards..  Every-time I see one of hers
I say I want to try one..   You really should go take a look at her work..
She has such a soft wonderful style..  You can check out her blog HERE..

This card came together pretty easy..  I just punch some DP from K&Co.. with my
square punch..  The hardest part for me was lining them up..
I did do a little distressing on all the edges..  But no stitching..

I added a couple of flowers.. and the stamped word Dream..
and my butterfly is a rub on..

I printed out Happy Mothers Day on my computer..
So as you can see a pretty easy challenge this week..
You should play along with us..
You just might win a prize..  Our sponsor this week is
Cindy Leeks..  She has put together a really cool prize..

To get all the details on this challenge or to see what the other Ladies have
come up with you can hop on over to CCCB.

Thanks so much for stopping by...
And Thanks so much for all the love you guys always leave..
It really makes my Day...

She let her inner artist explore....

So before you go any further you have to promise me
you won't laugh..  OK you can if you want.
My hubby is still laughing..

I am trying something a little different.  I am taking a class in Mixed Media..
I guess I need a lot more practice..  Hee Hee..

So this is my canvas for Week 1..   The class is already on Week 2..
But it is a internet class..  So I can go at my own pace.  Thank Goodness.

I had so much fun with this..  Even though my gal is a little over weight and has ugly hair.
Hair was a big challenge..

There was a lot of layering..  LOTS and LOTS of layering..

I don't know, Do you think I should have given her some shoes?
Or maybe some feet to put shoes on!!

Well I still have two weeks of class to go..  If you would like to know
Who and were I took my class from, You can check it out

Christy Tomlinson is such a wonderful teacher..  If you get a chance
her class is well worth it..

Thanks Linda and Janna for all your inspiring work. I would have never
found this class if it was not for you guys..

You know I couldn't let you go with out a sweet shot of
precious Myles..  He just melts my heart..  I could watch him sleep all day..
Oh Yea...   I Did..   Hee Hee....

Thanks for all you kind comments..

Just a couple of projects to show you....

So how is everyone doing?
My week is going well..  Tomorrow is my last day of work,
then I get two weeks off from work.
Yea.... Spring Break..
I work for a City program so we get two weeks instead of one..
Double Yea!!!

I am Back today with two different projects..  The first one is for

And the second on is for a new challenge I am playing along with called

So here is my TAG..
This week Rebecca wants us to use a chair on our Tag..
I was starting to think I wouldn't get to play this week.. I could not find a chair.
I can't believe I forgot that I had this stamp.  And I love this stamp..
The funny thing is that it sits on a shelf in plain site.

It seems like I had a hard time with the design of this tag..
I could not come up with anything..  So it took me way longer than it should have..
I hate that..

Lots of stitching and a little tag to top it off.

So there is my tag for this week.

To check out all the other Tags you can hop over to Rebecca Blog HERE.
Thanks so much for The very challenging challenge this week Rebecca..

So here is the card I made..  One of my Co-workers asked me if I could make her
a mothers day card..  But she asked me not to make it with to many embellishment so
she could mail it easier.  I am entering this card in a challenge called

and the word this week is
LACE

That was pretty hard for me to do..  So here is my simple card.. No bows or buttons..
Just a little LACE and some stitching..

I just love this sweet image..

I am hoping she likes it..

So I also have some wonderful news.. My Daughter will be induced on
Saturday..  Yep... That means I will be a Grandma on Saturday..
Maybe Sunday if she has a long labor..
So if you don't see me around blogland that is why..

Take care all my sweet friend.
And Thanks so much for all your Kind comments.
I do appreciated them all so much..

Hugs, Linda

(Sylvia your card is gorgeous)

Tag Tuesday...

Hello my sweet friends..  How is everyone doing?
I hope the answer is "Great"!!

I am finally back doing a tag.. Yea..
The Talented Rebecca has taken over Tag Tuesday..
And I just wanted to say Thanks for taking over.  It has been one of my
favorite challenges..  And I am looking forward to playing along here with you!!

So this week Rebecca is Challenging us to use a cut up post card..

So here is what I came up with..  I have to admit.. I didn't use my postcard.. So sorry..
I just love this post card.  I got it on one of my trips to Solvang, California..
So I took a photo copy of it and Cut that up..

I really couldn't decide if I should put this flower on..
I really liked it both ways..  I think without the flower it gave it a more vintage look..
With the flower it gave it more color..
Decisions, Decisions..   Well you can see what I did..

A Tim Holtz stamp..  Some seam binding and eyelash yarn..
To top it off..   No stitching again.. What in the heck is going on!!

And there you have it..  Another Tag..
I love the way this turned out...

Thanks again Rebecca for the great challenge..   I am looking forward to playing some more..
To see the other entries you can pop over HERE..

Not that I am excited or anything..  But only a week away till my
daughter is due..  Can you see me jumping up and down..

Thanks so much for stopping by..
I really do appreciate all the sweet comments..
You Ladies are the best..

Hugs, Linda

Hello Friends...

Well I am back with this weeks challenge over at

This week the sweet and talented Ros is our host
and is asking us to Cheer Up!!

All you have to do to play along is
make a "get well" card or a "Thinking of you" card..
Oh yea, She would also like to see something digital on your creation..
Pretty easy right.

Now if this little guy wouldn't cheer you up I really don't know
what would..

I had no red seam binding.. YIKES
So I colored some cream SB with my red copic marker..
Now thats using my thinker.. Hee Hee...

I used watercolor pencils and my copic markers to color this little cutie..
I got her from our sponsor this week Digital Delights..
If you play along with us you might have a chance to
win some of these cute digi stamps..

To get all the details or to check out what all the other gals made you can hop
on over to CCCB..

*******

Just thought I would share a couple of photo from a quick little
trip I took this past weekend..

We pulled our trailer down to river in Arizona..

As you can see fun was had by all...

It just happened to be one of those weird weeks when the weather shot
up over 100 degrees.. Crazy..
Thanks goodness these sites had power and we have an air conditioner..
So crazy that we had to use our air conditioner.. It's only the 1st of April
for goodness sakes..  By Sunday it had cooled back down..
Just when we were leaving..

Thanks so much for stopping by..
Thanks so much for all your sweet comments..
It is much appreciated.

Hugs, Linda
