So Happy!!

Hello my friends..
I am back from our fabulous trip to Oregon.
Sad to say I think I caught a bad cold while I was there.

I tried to get around to visit some of you yesterday but I found
it pretty hard to stay focused on anything..

I caught a photo of this little guy while on my trip.
He was so cute just hanging out all by himself..
I just know he was so happy because he was close to the
ocean..  I know that always makes me happy..

I also have my project to share with you from

This weeks challenge is brought to us
by the sweet and talented Cheryl..

The theme is "You've got mail".
You have to use an envelope in your project.

So I decided to decorate an envelope.
I just love to decorate them all pretty
before I mail them out.

This envelope has a lot of torn and cut paper
glued on..  And lots of stamping..
I had a lot of fun with this one.  You should come
on over and join in the fun..  I can't wait to see
all the different way you can use an envelope.

To get the details on this challenge you can pop on
over to City Crafter Challenge blog..

Here are a couple of photos of
my cutie pie Myles.  Boy do I miss him.
He still is the most happy little guy around.

Dad doesn't have to try to hard to get a smile.

Thanks so much my friends for all your kind comments.
I really do appreciate every one of them.

Till next time....

smile..

STAND ALONE

But he is swimming alone!  That counts doesn't it..

RUSTY OR SOMETHING OLD

Nothing says Rusty and Old like an Old Rust Hing..

ARTIFICIAL
The minute I saw this prompt I thought of splenda
the artificial sweetener..  I just couldn't get a decent photo of a
splenda packet..  So this is the next thing that pop in to my
head..  Artificial flowers..

REPEATING PATTERNS
I had no idea what to do for this shot.. So your get to see my
pencils all lined up..  I really don't know if it fits the prompt.

with on the hunt you can go HERE!

I know I haven't been by to see everyone.
I did not take my computer..  I just wanted to make sure

I will be back home later today so hopefully I will get to
stop by and visit everyone.

Six Little Words....

This is my second post today to see my City crafters post just scroll down.

Living Simply here in the Moment.

I have been busy taking all kinds of classes.
One of them being Kim Klassens Beyond Layers.
This class is right up my ally..  I am loving it and we are
only on week two.

Texture by KK - Trust

Last weeks she wanted us to
tell our story..  And yes we all have one.
I did write my story out in my journal.
I will share share it some day.

So this week is about

YOU IN SIX WORDS!

(texture by KK - Simplicity)

Of course there were so many ways for me to go with this.
So I decided to go with something I (TRY) to practice.
Living in the moment..

So this is what I came up with, My six words:
Living simply here in the moment.

(texture by kk - simplicity)
I have to say I am a bit of a dreamer.  Which I don't think
that's bad.  Just sometime I can let the now slip away without
even realizing what I have done!!  The day has past and what joy
did I get from it.

About 7 or 8 years ago my daughter bought me
this book from Eckhart Tolle. The power of now!
That title says it all.
And that is when this whole obsession began
with me..  So I have been practicing this for some time.
I don't think I will ever master it.  But it has definitely change
some little ways that I live my life.

Kim got this Idea of "You in Six words" from an Oprah magazine.
Which Oprah got it from the SMITH MAGAZINE.
If you have time you should check it out.
It was quite fun to read..

So what six words describe you?

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really do appreciate all your kind comments..

And I will leave you with a quote from Eckhart Tolle

"Pleasure is always derived from something outside you,
Whereas joy arises from within"

Hello...
How are you?

It's that time of the week for me to share with
you what I have made for
City Crafters Challenge Blog.

Boy was it a cold and Windy weekend here in Vegas.
Hard to find any kind life form out in my yard right now!
So you get to see a photo of my dormant Lantana.
I have never seen these little berry type things on
my Lantana before.  Strange..

Well on to my card I made this week..
I am the host this week and a made up a sketch.

So all you have to do is make a card following the sketch.

Once again I got my image from the Graphic Fairy.
I just love the vintage vibe this card has..

So here is the sketch I made.
It was made on photoshop.. This was the first time
I had made a sketch on photoshop.  Lets just say it took me
awhile..

But I do believe I got the hang of it
now so Watch-out!  Hee Hee..

So if you would like to see all the detail of this
challenge you can head on over to
And as always you can check out all the creations
the other Ladies have created..

I've got Sunshine..

It has been such a lovely week here!
I have been taking in all the good weather we
have been having..

When I saw these happy flowers out in the desert I just had to
stop and get a photo.  They look like sunshine to me..

When I was up in Portland dropping off Myles.  My daughter
and I went shopping at the Mall.  And they had a shop called
Made in Portland..
In that shop they had the most wonderful painting.  If it was
smaller I would have bought it.  The word on the sign said

I'VE GOT SUNSHINE ON A CLOUDY DAY

I just love that..  I might have to try to paint it myself..
We will see!

So I have been playing in my craft room with my paints and
enjoying every minute of it..  And in the evenings while watching
TV with the hubby I have been doing a little crocheting..
No I still haven't finished the baby afghan..  YIKES..

These are a pair of finger-less gloves..  I had made a pair for
my girlfriend.  And they were pretty quick and easy to make so
I making another pair!!

Well that's all I have to share with you today!
Thanks so much for stopping in
And
I do hope you have some
SUNSHINE
in your day even if its a cloudy, rainy, snowy kinda day!!

Till next time..

Just Believe....

Hello...

Are you ready for a fresh new week.
As I am sitting here sipping my coffee
typing away at my computer, I am letting my mind open
to all the possibilities the week has to bring.

It is only our own negative thinking that holds us back.
You know that little voice in your head that says this is not
good enough.  But not this week...
I am going to have fun and play with my paints and
not worry about if it's not good enough.
I will just let go and believe..

Linking up to Texture Tuesday!
I used Kim Klassen texture embrace (100%) and dusty rose (47%)

I am also going to share with you on this beautiful
morning what I have created for

I had a lot of fun altering this little Altoid tin..
The theme this week is pretty inside and Out..
Thanks Kirsty, What a great theme..

I don't know why but right when I read the theme for
this week an altered tin popped into my head..
I have never done one before..
And I have collected a couple of these tins.

I started off by painting my tin with some acrylic green paint..
And all the fairy images are from Graphic 45.  LOVE THEM!
Lots of fussy cutting.

So here is the inside..

So much glitter everywhere..
How fun is that!!

So there you have it..
My little tin all pretty inside and out.

This week I am going to try to not have any of that
negative talk in my head..  I am going to Believe I can do anything I
put my mind to..

To get all the details on this challenge you can pop on
over to City Crafters..  While your there you can check out
what all the other lovely ladies have come up with..

Thanks so much for stopping by..

Hiking White Horse Trail

So sorry to say I ran out of time and didn't get all
my shots in for Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
The only shot I got was the sweet shot.. Hmmm..

So today I am going to share some photos
of a Hike the hubby and I did.
Are we adventurers or what!

It all started off great.  I'm pretty sure we were on the right track!

We were enjoying the great out doors and the
scenery looked beautiful.  Well should I say as Beautiful
as a desert can look!

This trail is only about 20 minutes from our house
I had no idea it was even here..
The canyon walls were amazing.

After hiking for about one and a half hours the
canyon opened up and you could see the beautiful
Colorado river.  The bright green tint to the water looked amazing.

That was not where this hike ended..  We scrambled up some rocks
for quite awhile and ended up at this Ladder.

I can't believe hubby made me go up first.

Up top were these pool of water..
Hot springs.  The water was over 100.
No... We did not get in!

Well it was about time to start heading back.
Lets just say my thighs are still screaming.
It was up hill the whole way back.

We came across this tree with this ball hanging from it
I have no idea what it is but it sure made a pretty photo.

So it was about a 6 mile hike.  But it felt like 30.
But I am so glad we did it!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Til next time...

Paint Party Friday!!!

Hello my friends..

As you know I am no longer watching my cutie-pie
Myles.  And I decided not to go back to work, So
what does one do all day.  Besides blog. hee hee..

I am taking a year long mixed media class
with Tam Laporte..   It's called Life Book.
Right up my ally!!   MAYBE!!
You can see the button on my sidebar!

Our first lesson we were to paint a
Goddess that represents us..

No laughing at my painting..  I a pretty new to doing
faces and let me tell you I could tear this apart all on my own.

I would like to introduce you to
Goddess Euphrosyne.
If I was a goddess I would have loved to
have been her!

She was the Goddess of Good Cheer, Joy, Mirth and Merriment.
Who wouldn't want to be her.  They say she liked to Drink wine and dance
 with her triplet sisters..

It has been a fun class so far.  At the end of the year
we will take all these pages and make a book!

I started out by sketching her and erasing her and sketching her
and erasing her..  after erasing her a million time I just
came to the conclusion this is how it was going to stay.
Then I used Water-soluble crayons for most of
this painting. I did use some acrylic for the hair.

So I am linking this to

A big thanks to Eva and Kristin
for hosting this fabulous party!

I just want so say thanks so much my sweet friends
for all your kind comment.
You all have been so kind
I really do appreciate it..

Till next time!
