Hello my friends...

Last week was kinda a crazy week for me.
Time had gotten away from me.

I had a  family emergency come up.
But everything is fine now.
And I am praying it stays that way!

I have been playing around with Kims textures
again and this week she is having us add a
textures onto something White..
So a string of White pearls it is...
I know most of you know what a texture is,
But just in case you don't and were
wondering  what a texture is.  It is a
layer you add over your photo in Photoshope..
It gives your photo that extra little something..
The texture I used this time was called Awaken.
It's from Kims collection..
She has a free tutorial on her site to explain
how to add it to you to your photo.

I am linking up with Texture Tuesday and also with
Lisa on  "The Creative Exchange"

Well it's Tuesday so that means it time for a challenge over at
City Crafters Challenge Blog.  This week Cheryl is asking
us to put some Extra's on our card..
Yep..  She wants to see 2 ribbons and 9 or more words.

I had so much fun playing with this Bugaboo image.
I colored her with my copic markers.

I just love her sassy attitude.

The pretty papers are from K&Co.

So if you would like to play along with us or just take a peek at
what the other gals have done you can
hop on over to City Crafters.

So I was out of town this weekend and I was out taking some
photo early one morning and I heard something in the
bushes..  I took a step back and look what popped his head out..
It was real early in the morning so I think he was shocked to see me!
We don't have raccoon's in Las Vegas so It was kinda fun to see.

I only got a couple of shots off before he took off running.

Also I just wanted to say Thank You to Victoria from
Things I learned from Bear..  She sent me this sweet card.
Along with a bar of chocolate..  YUM!!
Thank you so much my friend..

Well that's that's all I have for now. I do hope you
have a wonderful week..  And Thank You so much for all your
kind comments..  I really do appreciate them..

Tuesday already....

Hello and Good morning..
I just love these long weekends an extra day to enjoy with
my husband..   But now it's Tuesday and  I will be a day off
all week.   I think I can handle that!  The extra day is well worth it!

We had the most wonderful weekend out at the lake.
I don't know what it is but when we go camping the
food always taste better..  And my favorite part is to sit
around the campfire roasting marshmallows .  My husband always
says I'm crazy but I just love to eat them burnt black..

We took long strolls around the campground and we also took
a couple of long Bike rides.  I defienitly know I am out of shape
cause I had to keep stopping every ten minutes to catch my breath.

Well like I said it is Tuesday and that means it time to share
with you what I made for City Crafters Challenge Blog.

Your truly is hosting this week!  So I thought it would be fun
to make a project using all natural colors..

When I think of  natural colors my mind always thinks
Vintage for some reason..

So I made this vintage style tag.  It was so much fun putting this
Together..    I just love this image made from Graphic 45..

So how do you like my Vintage style tag?
 I think it is dreamy!!

To get all the details on this challenge you can hop over
to City Crafters Challenge Blog..  I do hope you play along with us..

I just want to say THANK YOU so much for
stopping by.  And thanks so much for all your kind
comments..  They mean so much to me!!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Hello Everyone..

I just wanted to let you know I shut off my
Word Verification.. I received some e-mails stating you could not
leave a comment.  Google has made the words a little tough to read.
I do have a big problem with spam.. So I am hoping I can leave it off..

It has been such a lovely weekend..
The weather has been beautiful so far..
My hubby keeps saying it is going to get windy
tonight so we will see..

We pulled our trailer out to Lake Mead for this long weekend.
And we got a great spot with a view of the Lake.
It's not the Ocean but it will do..

So here are the photos I found on my hunt this week..

LOVE

A mini book I had made awhile ago..
All about LOVE..

DUPLICATED

I caught these two dove's hanging out in my backyard.
They were all puffed up trying to stay warm.

TRENDING
I just love this shot.  It was taken in an antique shop in Portland.
If these hats aren't trendy I don't know what is.. Hee Hee...

PAPER

This is a last minute shot..
I just got it this afternoon.
The hubby made a little paper airplane.
Just for my paper shot.  It was so little it didn't fly!

PLASTIC

Some plastic seashell beads make one pretty
bracelet.

So there you have it..  Another weeks hunt done.
If you want to see what everyone else found on the hunt
you can head on over to Ashleys blog..

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving
me such sweet comments.  I just love reading all your
encouraging words..  THANK YOU!

Way out of my comfort zone!

Well I am back today to show you what I have created
for the "Life Book" class that I am taking.
I am still not real confident in what I am doing in this class.

This is one crazy mixed media piece that I have created..
You will never guess how it started off.
That unless you took the class!

This class on this particular week was taught by
Kylie Pepyat-Fowler. It is a self portrait..  I had so much fun
taking this class.  We started off with a photo of our selfs..
Yes hard to believe that this started out as a photo of me! Hee Hee..
We did a image transfer and then we painted over it.

I ended up doing the transfer twice cause the first one was to light.
But the second on was just as bad. So I just used the second one!
That is probably why this looks nothing like me.
I could barley see the photo to paint over.

This took lots and lots of layers of paints..
Still don't know what in the heck I am doing with the shading..

I kinda wanted to do something different with the hair..
Once again. Not real comfortable doing hair.
But when I came up with this funky hair style I kinda liked it..
Maybe I should try it in real life..

So what do you think of my self portrait.
If only I had full lips like that in real life.  Hee Hee...
But I have to admit she kinda looks like a bobble head!

I found this Video to help me not give up.
There is still hope for me.. Maybe..
I know I have shared this with a couple of you!!

I am linking up to Paint Party Friday..
Thanks so much to Eva and Kristin for hosting
such an awesome party!

Thanks so much for stopping by my friends..
I do hope you enjoy your weekend.

Happy Valentines Day

Hello my sweet friends.
I have some exciting news..  At least for me!
I woke up this morning and it was raining.
I know that's not Big news to some of you.  But it made
for one happy day for me.

So It's Valentines Day!
The day to show your special someone how
much you love them..  On this day of love we usually
stay at home and make a special dinner and eat by
candlelight.  But I do believe we are switching it up this year.
We will be going out for a nice dinner on this rainy day.
I am looking forward to it!!   How about you?
Any special plans?

I happened to get this shot a couple of weeks ago
why I was out shopping at lowes..  I just love the way
the flower buds are all curled up..

Well once again it is that time of the week
when I get to show off what I made for
City Crafters Challenge Blog.

Kirsty is our lovely host this week and is challenging us to
make a perfect pair of cards..

And thats not all..  That perfect pair need to be in
the colors Blues and Purples..

So I broke out a flower stamp.  And I used my water-color pencils
to color them up all pretty!

Then I framed them up on a card.
Such a nice and simple card.

Then I made another.. To make a perfect pair!

To get all the details on this challenge or to see all
the other card that the Design Team made
you can head on over to
City Crafter Challenge Blog..

Well I am going to get off this computer
and go enjoy this wonderful weather..

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday...

Hello my Friends.
I am back with my Scavenger hunt photos
for this week..  When I first read the prompts I thought these
seem pretty easy..  Well did I think wrong.. Boy did I have
a tough time this week..  I guess that is what makes it fun.
Makes your really stop and think.  Maybe to much!

Well here we go..

FACIAL FEATURES

Believe it or not I had fun with this shot. It was either a shot of
my facial features or my cats.
So I gave the cats the day off.  Hee Hee
But one thing I would like to know is where the
heck did those wrinkles come from. I don't see them in my mirror..
Well lets just call them laugh lines not wrinkles. OK..

SHADOW
The weather was so beautiful this weekend I decided to ride my bike to
the park and try to find a shadow.  Not crazy about the shadows I found.

SHADOW #2
Another shot still not to excited about it!
But that's what I got so that what you get to see..

SPICY

If this isn't spicy I don't know what is..

GOLD
I just love this happy golden sun face..  He makes me smile!

FABRIC

Nothing more comfy than an old pair of jeans with my
favorite pair of chucks on!!  As you know both are made from
Fabric! :)

Well that all I have for this weeks hunt.
If you would like to see what everyone else found
on the hunt you can head on over to Ashley's blog

I do hope you are having a nice weekend.

Thanks so much again for stopping by.
You guys always make me feel so loved with all
your sweet comments.

Thank You!

I just wanted to pop in and say
Thanks so much for all your
get well wishes.  I am feeling much better!
I might even get out and about this weekend..

For our Beyond Layers class, Kim has challenged us to make a
homemade back drop or to find some natural light.
After making my backdrop I had a tough time trying to
find something to photograph.  When all else fails put something
on a open book!  I know it's a little simple and that OK by me!

I put the words lost in a dream cause that is how I felt most of
the week when I was on cold medicine.   I am so glad I feel better.

I do hope you have a wonderful weekend..

Hugs,  Linda

My Head is a Fog...

I hate to say it, But I am still not feeling the best.  As much as
I am trying to fight this cold, It is fighting me right back.
I have been getting lots of rest.. Drinking plenty of fluids.
Zoning out on cold medication..
And I still don't feel well.  And the sad part is that
I have had no time to play in my craft room at all..
I guess its a good think I got my CCCB project done early!

But I have been laying on the couch play with photos.
This is my story board for my Beyond Layers class
with Kim Klassen. They were looking for photos of our day.
Well my days lately are pretty ugly.
I think these tell a much better story.
A story about another journey I am on!
A creative Journey.

Over a City Crafters there is a fun challenge
going on..   Ros our host this week wants us to use
the colors of the Rainbow..  So I took that literally.

I created this "She Art Gal"
Standing under a Rainbow.

I cut all the colors of the rainbow out of scrapbook paper. .
Then stitched them together..

I had found the perfect quote to go along with this.
I just love it.

To get all the detail on this challenge you can head on over to
City Crafters Challenge Blog.

Thank so much for stopping by.
All your comments mean so much to me.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

It's that time of the week again to show you
what I found on my Hunt ..

Some of these photos were taken in Portland OR.
If you happened to miss my last post
there are more shot from our visit there..

So without further ado here are my photos
for this week.

Strike a pose

OK, I know what your thinking...This isn't strike a pose.
But this tree is posing for me... Right
My daughter used to do all my
posing for me but she's not here.
I tried to talk the hubby into  posing for me
but he didn't want to play along with me!!
So you get a tree.

Footwear

I pulled this one out of the archives..
These tennies belong to my daughter..
You know the one that used to pose for me! Hee Hee..

Hobby

Wine tasting is a hobby.. RIGHT

Shiny
I drew a total blank on this prompt.
So I guess a shiny nickle will due..

Color me green

Believe it or not this is a garage door we saw down by
Cannon Beach.  I guess they needed a shortcut to get inside.
So they added a green door..  I think it made a cool photo!

Well there you have it..
Another hunt done.

To see all the other entries you can hop on over to
Ashley's blog

Thanks so much for stopping by!
And thanks so much for all you sweet comments..
