I am running a little slow...

Hello my friends..
I am hoping this post makes sense.
I had a little procedure done yesterday and I am on some pain medication.
(Just cause I'm a little bit of a baby when it comes to pain)
If I were on top of things I would have done this post before
My procedure...  That's a whole different story.
My little procedure was some skin cancer removed from
the side of my face..
To tell you the truth, It's a little bit of a problem with me.
I am almost always having something burned, scraped or cut off.
I guess growing up here in the desert, being fair skinned,
doesn't help at all..   But I am pretty proactive about it.  In fact I see
my dermatologist more than I see my dentist.
Sad but true. Thanks so much for listening to me whine this morning.

Any way on to something a little bit happier.
It's Tuesday and time for City Crafters Challenge.
Ros is our Hostess and once again has come up with a great theme.

"Let's Face the Music"

So all you need to do is add something musical to your project..
When I first read this challenge I knew I was going to do a Christmas card.
And I really need to do a lot of them..
This is my first one I have made this year.
YIKES!!

I just love this vintage image, I am pretty sure I got it from
the graphic fairy.

And I just love this Lace.. and of course I did a little stitching.

So there you have it..  My first Christmas card done..
A lot more to go..

To get the details of our challenge you can hop on over
to City Crafters and get all the details..
You should take a look at all the wonderful project the
rest of the lovely ladies have come up with while your there..

Thanks so much for stopping by..

Hugs, Linda

Beautiful vintage card, Linda, I love the combo of birdies and music! Glad to hear that you are keeping on top of your skin issues... never to be taken lightly, that's for sure. Kudos for having your dermatologist on speed-dial! Hope you feel better soon.... that nagging bit of pain can certainly put a damper on one's day.

Gorgeous Xmas card! As I was reading about your procedure I was thinking...ugh, desert heat LOTs of sun ,,,fair skin...they never mix.
I cannot go near the sun...I burn to a crisp in 15 minutes,,,I can relate....so good that you keep on top of this skin thing...heal fast.
Love your new header fotos....really nice...

The card is gorgeous! I, too, see my derm guy more than my dentist! LOL! I'm just glad they can treat it successfully and hope it all stays in check. Hope that for you too! Price I pay for being a redhead who loved loved loved the sun. Still do but a lot smarter with my sunscreen!

Oh what a bummer to have to watch yourself so closely for skin problems. But you are doing the right thing by staying on top and seeing your Dr. regularly. Great card, love the music, the stitching and that sweet little bird. I was a big-time stamper and even worked in a rubber stamp-store until it closed. Then I got into photography, and the stamping has kinda been put on the back burner, but I still have all my "stuff".

Your Christmas card is enough to make anyone happy just thinking about the season! So beautiful. Sorry you are in pain and have to watch for skin cancer. I had a skin cancer in 1996 and so far nothing. Like you, I am a desert rat! Be careful and I sure hope the pain meds work. I wish I could take pain meds, sure would have been easier when I had the GB removed! Hugs!

what a beautiful card! Love the cardinal on the front in it's vintage goodness! I hope you are feeling better soon. Sometimes the smaller procedures can be just as bothersome as the larger ones. I am glad to read you see your derm. because it's something must people won't do. My SO just found out today he has to have a large area removed. Nothing life threatening but it's always good to be checked. Take care Linda!

First: I am glad that you had it taken care of. Skin Cancer runs very deep on my dads side of the family. He has had sooo many spots burned, frozen, or chemicaled up.

Second: Your card is beautiful! I am not ready for Christmas yet. :)

I do hope you are feeling better, Linda! I'm sure your face will be tender for a while. I guess it is tough to be fair skinned in such a hot climate. I wouldn't last! I'm quite Irish.

LOVE your card, lady! It 'sings' of a happy Christmas from days gone by.
