You got mail! Lessology is a challenge blog that uses
recycled or up-cycled projects..
So I decided to make my own Envelope..
A Big Envelope...
My project started with an old file folder..
I hope hubby doesn't mind that I took this from his drawer.
It was empty!!
I started off by painting the file with acrylic paint.
And then started ripping all types of paper.
Scrapbook... sheet music... magazine... doily....
No there is no Toilet paper here! Hee Hee.
Then I just started gluing them all down on the
folder with my gluestick.
So much fun!!
All this tearing and gluing made me
feel like a kid again..
Then I added the lined paper and added the words
From and To..
I added some cut out flowers.. And then I painted
them with my watersoluble colors..
I added a tiny piece of flowery lace..
Is that even a word "flowery"...
Then I added stitching all the way around to close it up..
Once you add what you want inside you
can fold the top down and sew it shut...
I wonder if it would really make it through the mail!!

Such a cool project, Linda. It looks like something from Stamper's Sampler magazine. :) (and yes, 'flowery' is a word!)
