Memories, Dreams and Reflections 2011

Happy New Year my friends..
As I look back at the past year, I can say
what a wonderful year it was.
Lots of changes have happened in 2011.
Some good and some not so good..

But I wouldn't change a thing..

I am playing along in Ashley's
Memories, Dreams and Reflections of 2011.

Most of these photos you have seen.
The prompts really do let you take a look
back at a year gone by!

Me
I really don't have too many shots of myself..
My hubby caught this shot of me while on vacation in
California.  I Love that we both love to get out and
have some fun!!

I Love You!
Here is my Hubby.
He is the most wonderful guy!
We were definitely meant to be..
Once again this shot was taken while we were
on vacation in California..

Still Laughing

I just love this shot of Myles..
It makes me chuckle every time I see it!

Winter Wonderland
Nothing says winter like a warm fire
on a cold winter day!!

Birthday
Here is a shot we took on our Birthdays!
Yep, It was both of our Birthdays.

Friends..
I guess I definitely need to get some shots
of me with my friends..  This is two little girls from
when I taught preschool..  I just love it!

I was inspired
One of the new things I tried this year was some
mixed media art.  I took some online classes.
They really inspire me to want to do more..
In fact I am taking a year long mixed media on line
course starting in TODAY!!

Spring Fever
I had so many photos I have taken in the spring of
flowers it was real hard to choose..

Travel or Vacation
We must have gone to the ocean 3 or
4 times this year..
It's my most favorite place to go!

Summer Days
Hanging out by the pool is
a perfect way to spend a summer day!

A day in the life
One of my favorite ways to spend my days
is crafting..

All Smiles
One of the best things that happened to me
this year was this little guy coming into my life.
He almost always had a smile for me!

Autumn
Nothing says fall like a whole lot of leaves to
rake up!!

Family or Home
I could not find one photo of our whole family together..
That is definitely on my to-do list this year!
This photo was taken at a camping trip that our little family all
took together.  It was in Duck Creek, UT..
It was such a great time!

Celebrate
This is my daughter at her baby shower..
Don't you just hate those stupid games you have to play!

Let's do it again
And again, and again...
I don't think I would ever get tired of camping
by the ocean.

I Miss You
If you are a follower of my blog
Then you know how much I miss these guys!!
But I already have a flight to Oregon
at the end of this month..
Yea!!!!

Beautiful
Do I need to say more!

Dressed up
My Nephew got married this year..
I wish them all the happiness in the world!

Macro
I just loved the way this guy sat so still posing
for me..

Holidays
Myles' first Christmas.
Of course this is my favorite holiday shot.

My favorite shot
This shot was taken at the hospital
not too long after Myles was born..
I love them both so much!

Don't Ever Change
Lov'n Life..
I hope that never changes..

Just Because...  So There!
I have no idea why....  but I just love this shot!

Hopes and Dreams
As for this New Year...
I have a feeling it's going to be
a great one.  My hopes and dreams
are that everyone stays safe and healthy
and Happy!

I am Back but still so Busy!!

Hello my sweet friends..  It seems such a long time
since I have been on here.
I had a great time visiting my daughter, SIL,
and Myles in Oregon..
And everything is well here at our home..

We still have family here for the holidays and
have enjoyed eating.. playing games.. and listening to
stories that we have all told and heard a thousand times..

Hard to believe that I even had a little time to
get this week card done for
Since I am hosting I better have got it done.

The theme this week is
 "Making the cut".
We had to do a little paper piecing or fussy cutting..
Once again I took a photo of my project I could see
my cutting wasn't to great..   Oh well!!!
I still love the way it turned out..

To see all the details on this challenge you
can hop on over to CCCB!

I can't believe
it's been a whole week since my last post.
Time is just flying by!

And as your'e reading this I am on my way to
Portland, OR.

My daughter  has packed up her house
 and pulled out on Saturday.
She if off to start a new chapter in her life.
It took them two days to get there.
But they are in there new home now in Oregon.

But I have the sweet little guy (Myles) here with me
So he didn't have to make the drive that is almost 1000
miles away..  So I have been spending the past couple of days
getting in my grandma time before he is gone.

It will be a short trip for me,
I will be back home late Wednesday.
So I have time to get ready for the full house here
on Christmas Eve!

So I have another card to share with you for this
weeks Challenge over at City Crafters Challnege Blog.
The sweet and talented Kirsty came up with
a perfect theme.

Winter White.

So the challenge is to make your card or project with the primary color
being White!

So this is the card I made in between
hugging and kissing Myles..

I had so much fun making this card.  I used my embossing folder to
get the raised snowflakes in the background.
and the silver heat embossing for the
ornament and the frame.

To get all the details on this challenge you can
head on over to CCCB!

I do hope you are enjoying the season..
And I will catch up with you when
I get back from dropping off this sweet package..

I also wanted to say thanks you to the sweet bloggers
who sent me special Christmas card and goodies.
I haven't had time to take photos.
I really do appreciate it and
will post when I get back!!

Tis the Season....

Well if you are like me at all....  The closer we get
to Christmas the busier I get.

But I am loving every minute of it!

Being that it is Tuesday I have a project to
show you!!  A Christmas project!

Ros over at City Crafters has a fun project for us.
Get Booked!!

So I made some tags
and made them into a little flip book!

I used some cute little images that
I had got from Lori last week at her blog hop.
They are soooo cute and free..  Thanks Lori!!

All kinds of paper
including this musical paper..

And some seam binding along with some lace

Another image from Lori..
Sooooo cute!!

Lots of stitching and some vintage buttons.

I had so much fun making these.
It really put me in The Christmas spirit!!

And as you can see there is lots
and lots of glitters!!

There are only four Tags
for this little book!

So I do hope seeing these helped
give you a little Christmas cheer..

To get all the details of this challenge
you can hop on over to City Crafters Challenge Blog.

In the mean time I do hope you're
having a happy holiday season so far..

So sorry I have been so slow at getting around
to seeing all your lovely blogs..
But I have been crazy busy..

Tis the season..
