Six Little Words....

This is my second post today to see my City crafters post just scroll down.

Living Simply here in the Moment.

I have been busy taking all kinds of classes.
One of them being Kim Klassens Beyond Layers.
This class is right up my ally..  I am loving it and we are
only on week two.

Texture by KK - Trust

Last weeks she wanted us to
tell our story..  And yes we all have one.
I did write my story out in my journal.
I will share share it some day.

So this week is about

YOU IN SIX WORDS!

(texture by KK - Simplicity)

Of course there were so many ways for me to go with this.
So I decided to go with something I (TRY) to practice.
Living in the moment..

So this is what I came up with, My six words:
Living simply here in the moment.

(texture by kk - simplicity)
I have to say I am a bit of a dreamer.  Which I don't think
that's bad.  Just sometime I can let the now slip away without
even realizing what I have done!!  The day has past and what joy
did I get from it.

About 7 or 8 years ago my daughter bought me
this book from Eckhart Tolle. The power of now!
That title says it all.
And that is when this whole obsession began
with me..  So I have been practicing this for some time.
I don't think I will ever master it.  But it has definitely change
some little ways that I live my life.

Kim got this Idea of "You in Six words" from an Oprah magazine.
Which Oprah got it from the SMITH MAGAZINE.
If you have time you should check it out.
It was quite fun to read..

So what six words describe you?

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I really do appreciate all your kind comments..

And I will leave you with a quote from Eckhart Tolle

"Pleasure is always derived from something outside you,
Whereas joy arises from within"

Hugs, Linda

I don't read many self-help books but the power of now changed my life along with his other book A New Earth...my dad's passing just re-affirmed it all to me. We only have this moment and it is up to us to make it what we want it to be.

Lovely post. Lovely images. I should read that book, and post your six words for myself. Thanks for the thoughts. Making me wish I took this class. I wonder if it's too late to jump in.

Isn't this a fun, and thought-provoking, challenge? I am so enjoying Kim's class. And I have to say that first photo of the bird...I really like the way the light is on the bird's face. So pretty.

I am a "Beyonder", too! I love the photos and the way you weave your words...I am seriously coveting a key that carries the word "dream" on it! And the little sparrow was my first draw in...

Blessings!

I wrote my story in a notebook last week, but I haven't shared it either. I don't know if I will. It's so long! Which I guess is why the six words are so great. But I haven't figured that one out yet! Great job on writing yours!

And now seriously, the photo of the bird is breathtaking! I love it. Hope you don't mind if I pin it!

Linda, I do love visiting your blog because you have the most amazing photos!

I know you've got camera equipment that far exceeds mine (I have a point and shoot Nikon Coolpix S4000), but how do you do a picture like the "Dream" key, where only the key is clear, and the rest of the pic is softly focused? Please tell me your secrets!

I didn't write my story...maybe I will one day, but I did come up with 6 words. Love yours, most of the time it is better to live in the moment than to make plans...plans change too quickly and unexpectedly. And that sweet bird is perfect. Love it!!

Lovely post, Linda! I will have to think of six words, think for quite awhile to figure out what they would be. Nice to have something deep to think about today. It has rained a little so my photo's would be of rain if I got out to take them. Have a wonderful afternoon.

Hi Linda! I like your six words! I think mine would be Happily trying to remain thankful in life. I know that's 7, but two of them are little so I am combining them as one. : )

I am AMAZED at how many e-courses are out there, and challenges and swaps and doodle days. It's really overwhelming. So I do what I normally do when I feel overwhelmed and just don't do anything. Isn't that terrible?

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
