The Scent of spring...

It that time of year again when my Star Jasmine are in full bloom.
I have two large Jasmine's that grow along a trellis.
My husband is forever trying to get me to cut them back.
I always have a way of talking him into just waiting little while,
just till after they bloom.

Yesterday after we returned from our quick trip
We sat outside and enjoyed the sweet scent.
As you can see we weren't the only ones.
This butterfly was only there for a moment.
I got one shot off before he was gone.
One was enough. I guess he was camera shy!

In about a week or so the flowers will all turn
brown and fall off.  There are so many flowers that turn
brown that it almost look like the whole plant is dying.
But after they all fall off...  All is well....
Except for the wonderful scent of Jasmine is no longer in the air.

It's time for another challenge over at
City Crafters Challenge Blog.
Cheryl is our host and has a fun challenge.
Rough around the edges.

A pretty fun challenge all you need to do is add some
burlap on your project.  Easy Peasy..

So funny how I had made this tag before I had gotten a photo
of that butterfly.  What a Cawinkadink..

So here is my tag I made for this weeks challenge.
This is a Tim Holtz stamp.. I have used it a lot. I just love it.
And I did a little hand stitching also..
Such a fun tag to make.

So If you would like to play along with us or just see what
all the other gal created you can hop on over to
City Crafters Challenge Blog

I am also linking my first photo up with
Texture Tuesday..  I used the Texture "Oh My" softlight 100%

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I really do appreciate all your kind comments.
You gals are the Best!

Hugs, Linda

Linda, What a beautiful butterfly to place on that beautiful tag! Like you, I love the scent of jasmine and mine has not bloomed. We hit 95 degrees the other day and the heat and dry air just cooked some of my roses and irises. Have a lovely day!

Wow Linda, your photos are beautiful, fantastic capture of the butterfly! We have star jasmine around our front deck....wish it didn't grow so rampantly, but it does smell lovely when in flower.

Your tag with the butterfly is delightfully 3D, just lovely.

Linda, Linda, Linda, I just love stopping by your happy place. It is always warm and inviting. I'm running so far behind, I can't say something nice about every post, but they're all great--the butterflies, the flowers, and especially the touch of pink. It's fantastic. Sorry your family is gone, but I know you had fun while they were there. Hope you have a great weekend.

ONe gorgeous sight after another here today, Linda. THose jasmine flowers are beautiful, and I can picture their scent. When we were in Spain, that was what we'd smell around the property of the hotel at night. Heavenly.

The butterfly on the jasmine pic is really breathtaking, and your tag is too!

Such a charming... pretty card…well designed card. I wandered over here from another blog via another blog and I am so happy that I did. Honestly, I have such a hard time finding projects that inspire me….projects that are pretty, well balanced, textured, well balanced, and my aesthetic. Your work fits all that and more. Ironically, I am found you while posting my tag which I made with the same Paris stamp. If you want to see what I made www.rainingjellybeans.blogspot.com. I will be back again and again.
