Happy Friday...

Don't you just love the weekend?
Even though I don't work anymore I still get
excited about the weekend.   It just has a different
feel than a weekday.

The two photo's above are the same, As you can tell.
The second one I played with in Photoshop using this weeks
lesson from Beyond Layers.  It was fun to play with but
to tell the truth I like the original much better.   I will
have to try this same technique on a different photo.

I also got some time this week to play in my craft-room.

I have a lot going on this month with 2 Mothers day card,
my sisters Birthday card, a baby shower card.  Lets just say I
have been having fun creating this week.

These are some close up shots of some book marks I have
made for my Mom and Sister..
Her lips got smeared when I applied the decoupage.

I know you were thinking she is just really bad at putting on
lip stick.  Hee Hee..

I bought them both books for a gift and I just love
to add these little homemade book marks to go along with the books.

By the time I am done these book marks are really-really flat.
And there are some many layers of decoupage that they almost feel
like leather.  The third one in is a real photo of my Mom and her sister
when they were young. I know she is going to love it.

So speaking of books. I was just wonderful if any
of you have read the book "Fifty Shades of Grey"
I was going to get if for my sister but they were sold out.
I heard it was pretty steamy!

Well I do hope you enjoy your weekend.
And thanks so much for stopping in and visiting.
I really do appreciate all your encouraging words.

Hugs, Linda

I don't know Linda, both shots are great. The second one just has a softer feel to it.
Love the bookmarks! I was thinking that the gal with the smudged lipstick meant that she had been smooching someone! Love it!
I'll be chatting with you sometime I'm sure, but Happy Mother's Day if I forget to tell you later. (I don't know why I would...it's not like I have anything going on or anything. :-)

Beautiful photos, Linda, and really beautiful bookmarks, too! I think books are one of the most wonderful gift to give and receive, and I adore that you made a handmade bookmark to go along with each. How special that you made one with your mom's childhood photo. They are all so special and so, so pretty!
Happy Mother's Day to you, my friend!

Linda Both shots are very pretty but I like the first best also :) Your tags are Fabulous for sure!! The smeared lipstick makes me smile because there was this older lady I knew and her lipstick always looked like that! I think maybe she couldnt see to well but she was a sweet soul. I bet your mom and sis will love their tags especially the one with your mom and her sis...a real treasure to make her smile every time she reads :) Hope you have a Fab Mother's Day my friend!
