Baseball Nut..

Just a quick post to show you what I
created for this weeks
Colors of Summer Challenge.

You know I had to throw in a photo of a flower.
I wish this flower was from my yard. But its not.
Its way too hot to have flowers like this
for very long.. They burn up pretty quick here in the desert.
This shot was taken in California on our last trip.

The color this week was Baseball Nut.
And here is the inspirational photo.

And here is what I created..

In my Life Book class Juliette Crane has given us
a lesson on how to paint an owl..
I gave it my best shot..

Now that I am looking at the colors I used. I think
its a little too pink for the challenge.
I should have used a more of a purple tone.

Not one of my favorite pages.  But I had so much fun.
Talk about messy play. I am definitely going to try another one.
I still have paint on my fingers..

Thanks for stopping by
Hugs~

Your flower is beautiful, Linda! I am managing to keep mine growing and beautiful this year, lots of soil, mulch and love! I love your journal page, you are being to hard on yourself! I love the background you have created and the owl looks fun to me and of course I love the colors! I went to look for my post this morning so I could link it to PCS and it wasn't there. and I thought"I scheduled this, is it lost?" Duh...If one schedules for the wrong date..like July 1 instead of June 30 it won't post. I guess summer is enjoying me! Have a wonderful weekend my friend, our temps have been lower the last few days!

Wow, Linda! You are really, really coming along in your artistic endeavors. Nice job!!! I think the owl is super cute. Love the photograph as well. I have zinnias blooming, but it's so hot, I have to be sure to water every day or they wilt away!
