You are my sunshine...

If you saw my last post I am sure you will remember seeing
this face..  I had so much fun creating this.
Even though I could have done better job on the shading..
Still learning my friends.

This here project is yet another page in my Art journal.
And it is for this weeks challenge over at
City Crafters Challenge Blog.   Ros is our hostess this week
and our challenge is called...  Wishi Washi 2.
Use Washi tape on your project along with 2 other items.

Washi tape is all over the craft world right now.
I guess cause its so versatile..  The only washi tape I have is from Tim Holtz.
As seen in the photo above..  I also use a doily for the leaves and a flower
for my other two items..

Like I said this journal page was a lot of fun
to create. I drew and painted the face on to the newspaper and then
used gel medium to put it on to my page.  I had already done
the background to my page. And then I added the stem and leaves the same way.

The word bloom is a rub-on that I made myself from my computer..

If you would like to get the details of this challenge you can check it out
over at CCCB..

So I don't know if you remember back in June when I watched these
two gals for a week..  Well I am watching them once again.
We spent the day doing crafts and swimming and once again
they wore me out..  Tomorrow we will be going Ice Skating.
Yep you heard me right "ICE SKATING"..  I haven't been Ice Skating in
about 20 years..  I used to be pretty good at it.. We shall see.
I just hope I don't break something..

Well that's all I have for now.
Take care my sweet friends.

Hugs~

I love that journal page. I must have missed the last post. I think you did a fabulous job on the shading.

Be careful ice skating. I used to speed skate at the roller rink when I was in middle school. For my son's 7th birthday we had it at the roller rink and I went all out like I was 13 again and fell! Yes, it was horrible...I was bruised something awful! LOL

I love this...it actually looks like a mural photo I too recently and put on my blog ;)....I have just recently started an art journal and I feel so intimidated...as a long time scrapper it has been difficult for me to move away from the 'planned' to the 'free form'...but I am going to continue to grow and explore. Thank you for the inspiration!!!

Hi Linda! I really love the face – immediately made me smile. :) And the finished page looks GREAT.

You are very brave to go ice skating, but it must be a nice break from any hot weather. Never thought about doing it in the summer!

Wishing you a lovely week ahead.
