If you're Happy and you know it....

While I was creating a page in my Art Journal I started to think
How happy am I?  Can you be too Happy?  Isn't that like saying
"Can you be too rich"?   I don't think so...

When I googled the word HAPPY this is what I found.

Happiness- Isn't that the thing we all strive to find and keep?  Nobody is happy all
the time, but some people are definitely more fulfilled than others.  Studies reveal that
happiness has little to do with material goods or high achievement; it boils down to
your outlook on life, and the quality of your relationships.

Growing up my parents were very happy and content people.  I remember my
mom waking us up for school everyday saying "Rise and Shine its a beautiful day"
I used to think she was a crazy lady.  Who wakes up that happy.
Now that I am older I still don't wake up that happy.  I have to have my
couple cups of coffee before my brain can even start to think happy thoughts.

Here is another page in my Art Journal..

I wasn't going to show this page cause the journaling was
a bit personal.  So I played with it in photoshop so I could share it with you.
So sorry about the blacked out words.

Here is a quote that I just love. I find it to be so true.
I strive at trying to be my authentic self and I find when I compare my
self to others is when I am never good enough.
There is always going to be someone richer and prettier, more creative,
funnier, etc..   So I try not to compare myself to others.
Instead I look to others for inspiration.

And there sure is a lot of inspiration out here in blogland.

So if you're happy and you know it shout hooray..

Hugs~

Such a sweet page.
You are right. It all boils down to attitude. It really doesn't take a lot to be happy. :)

Very cool pics. I love your journal page...a Happy page my friend :) So true about comparison and how it steals from us. We were each created our unique and wonderful selves, if only we all could be convinced of that! Hope you are staying cool and have a GREAT weekend :)

Love your post and the page you created in your journal. no worries about the journaling! I guess I am like your mom, I wake happy almost every morning, but the words people say sometimes put me in an off mood. I like you though don't really come alive until after 10:00 without coffee as I can't drink it! It was easier to be joyous in Colorado because I woke up to magnificent beautiful from all directions, so it did not matter what the "yard" looked like. I had a hard time adjusting to small yards and old wood fences surrounding me. I saw a small hummingbird here this morning, so tiny, with a bright green color. that and the butterflies and flowers are the joys I have now! Everyone has some goodness and some talent, sometimes it is just hidden. Blog friends are the best! Hugs, my friend!

What a beautiful post, my dear. I have missed visiting, and I mustn't let daily chores interfere with that, because seeing your blog makes me happy! I love your gorgeous journal page and photography. You always inspire me with your art and your outlook. Another thought on happiness, from today's (Friday) Quote of the Day: "Happiness is the absence of the striving for happiness." Take care!

Well, I can definitely say that you inspire me and always give me something to think about. That last part about comparison I've read/heard many times, but the way you said it struck a chord in me. Thank you and hope you have a beautiful day! Love your new art page; blacked out words and all. :)

I read somewhere that being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, but it means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections. Kisses Linda.
