I'm Back...

Hello my friends..  Just in case you didn't notice I have been away
for a bit..  I had scheduled a couple of post to let you know but
only one of them posted. Darn computer.
I had no internet for a week and a half.  I was totally lost. It really is
amazing how dependent we become to these machines.
I did have my smart phone but even then most of the time I got no service.

I am sharing a couple of photos of  our trip.
We went to the fabulous city of
New York.

I loved every single minute of it and will definitely go back someday.

We were only there for a couple of days and thanks to
Kirsty and her hubby, we were able to get around pretty well.
But 2 days is definitely not enough time to visit a city like this.

And by the way we only got lost a couple of times on the subway.
Not too bad for a couple of newbies.

So after enjoying New York we hopped onto this big boat.
And lets just say I was so happy that our first day was at sea.
My legs have never been so sore after all the walking we did in
New York.

Our cruise was to the New England states of
Boston, MA and Portland, ME
Then we headed up to St. Johns, New Brunswick Canada
and our last stop was Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada

We were hoping to see a lot more colorful trees but
I guess we got there a little too early.  Most of the trees were still
green.  It still was pretty nice to see all the green everywhere.
After all, we are from the desert where everything is shades of browns.

I have lots and lots of photos to show you but we just got home late last
night and I have lots of unpacking to do. Not to mention all the laundry... and I have to make a
run to the grocery store.

I have missed you all so much and can't wait to get caught up.

So take care and I will be by to visit real soon.

Hugs~

Gorgeous photo's, Linda, a belated Happy Birthday to you and your husband! Lat time I was in New York City was when I was three and I left my stuffed doggie on a bench! I cried because my parents would not go back! We stopped at a little Inn for lunch on the way back and the food was expensive. My mother got me butter and water cress sandwiches, the cress was hot! So glad you are home and will get a chance to recover from your trip! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Love that picture of you Linda! You look so cute hanging onto your coffee cup...are you warming your hands? Because I know it's so much colder up there than the desert. I love NY too...and did not know there were cruises that went up that way...how fun! So glad you are back and that you had a great trip!

Oh my Linda, when you were in Portland, ME you were only an hour away from my home. Too bad I didn't know or I could have given you a great big Maine welcome. Maybe next time. :) I don't think we will be having a good leaf-peeping season as we had too much rain and most of the leaves have fallen or are dull from all the water. Oh well! Glad you enjoyed yourself. And, welcome home!

What a fun trip and WELCOME BACK! :) My mom just got back from a bus trip up to Canada and said the leaves were just starting to turn. Timing is so difficult to plan to see the ultimate foliage colors. I love New York....glad you do too :)

Linda, your photos are gorgeous, and it sounds like you had an amazing vacation! I, too, just got back from a big vacation - in Hawaii and Texas. One of the songs I fell in love with while in Hawaii is Iz's 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'. Cool that I should hear that song here on your blog, my friend!!

Boy- you sure have had an adventure!!! How exciting!

You are right- we would all be lost without our machines & services. Amazing how dependent we are on them.

Oh, LOVED your photos, Linda! Looks like you had a great time. We're in New England (north of Boston) and the trees are just starting to hit their peak color here now, which is kinda late. Any other year, and Columbus Day is a great time to see our leaves! Oh, well. Bu
