Scavenger Hunt Sunday...

The weather here in Vegas has been
so beautiful this week.  I have been enjoying
every minute of it..   My sister-in-law is in town and
we took her out to First Friday Art festival.  I have lived
in Vegas for over 38 years and I had never been.  It was a perfect
evening to stroll all the art booths and listen to music and
I even got my fortune told.  Even though I really don't believe in that
sort of thing.  It was fun to listen to what he had to say.
There were lots of weird people to look at. I almost felt
like I was in Portland, OR.

Well, on to what I found for this week's
Scavenger Hunt.  Most of the photos were from
my trips from last month.

WILD

I had caught a photo of this Hawk as he was part of a show
we watched while at Bearizona.  Twice during the show as the birds
flew by, their wings had grazed my head.  So lets just say I didn't
get too many photos of them as I was ducking most of the time.

WELCOME

I could not come up with anything for this photo.
So you get to see the Starbucks in Boston.
A perfect way to WELCOME in the morning.

ADVENTURE

Taking the train ride from Williams down to the
Grand Canyon is quite the ADVENTURE.
It gets robbed by some bandits about an hour into the ride.
Of course it's not real.  But it's fun to watch the little ones
get scared.  Thank goodness the Sheriff saves the day.

VIBRANT

I am pretty sure this is some type of weed that grows here
in the desert.  And when you play with it in photoshop you
can make it look pretty and Vibrant.

CLASSIC

I'll never forget the first time I read this CLASSIC.
My mom had taken us to the library when I was about 14 and
as I was strolling the isles of books when my mom picked up this
book.  She told me I should read it, and that it was one of her favorites.
To tell you the truth I really don't remember what it is
about.  Maybe I should read it once again.

That's all I have for this week.

Till next time my friends.

Hugs~

Beautiful pictures. We have a lot of hawks here...that is why Iowa is known as the hawkeye state. :)

Clever take on Classic-and it certainly is. Love that first image, that's a winner, and I like how you turned welcome to work. It's all about bending and stretching those hunt topics.

Oh I am lovin' all your images this week. How fun both the train ride and the Bearizona bird show. Next time I am in Arizona I am definitely headed back to the Grand Canyon. Take care, my friend.

Great shots. Love the action shot of the hawk. You know, I've lived in So CA my whole life and have never been to the Grand Canyon. The train ride down sounds fun! I like Jane Eyre but Pride and Prejudice is a better classic to read. Just sayin. ;-)

Wonderful photos LInda! Of course I like that Starbucks shot. That one reminds me of one in downtown Seattle. Glad you are enjoying the weather there. I never made it down to First Friday before I moved, (I believe it had just started) but I have always heard it was really fun to see...lots of funky things to see and experience. Always love to see your photos, Linda, and love it when you throw in some travel shots, too. It's so fun to see places you've never been to before. Your photo of that hawk is absolutely amazing! I don't know how you manage to so perfectly capture nature in motion, but you do an amazing job. This photo in particular speaks to me, as I used to fly hawks in wildlife shows once upon a time, too. :)

Your Scavenger Hunt posts are my favorite I've decided because I get to look at a bigger volume of photos and the words they go with just makes them that much more interesting too! Jane Eyre is my all time favorite book. I could not put it down! How awesome that you read it at the age of 14...that a hard book for a teenager for sure.
