The dreaded time change...

I don't know about you but I am finding it hard to get anything
done lately.  Now that the weather is nice I am finding it hard to
stay inside to get things done.

Which is OK by me because before I know it the weather
will be too cold to do anything.  That is how it is here in the desert..
Either to cold or two hot.  Only a couple of months of perfectly
wonderful weather.  But I promise I am not complaining.
It could be worse.

So did you get your clocks set back?  I do wish we could just leave
the clocks alone.  I just hate it when it's dark so early.
I have heard so many different stories as to why we always have to do the
changing of the time ritual twice a year.
What are your thoughts on why we need to
change our clocks twice a year?

Maybe if I would move to Arizona or Hawaii I could escape
the dreaded time change.   Hummmm..  Something to think about.

For some weird reason my purple lantana is back in
bloom.  I guess it's enjoying the wonderful weather as well.

*******

This week over at
City Crafters Challenge Blog it's all about the
sparkle.  OK not just sparkle..  But sparkles and stars.

I had so much glitter everywhere by the time
I completed this sparkly star.
I love it.
It reminds me of when I was a kid.

The wonderful Santa image I used was from Graphic 45.

Well if you want to play
along with us you know what to do right?

I want to thank Ros our host this week for the super fun challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Till next time..

Hugs~

This card is so sweet!!. LOVE the twinkle star and absolutely LOVE the pictures. When I lived in Colorado, I too wondered why we need to set back our clock twice a year. But it was fun to see the changing weather :). I do missed sunset at 4.15 pm!

I am like you, leave the time alone, Linda! I too am enjoying our outside weather. Hubby is home so I have help and can spend more time outside. I will be finished with the painting today! Yeah! Love the greens I used in the hall and dining room. Love your photo's you should frame some and enter in some shows, they are excellent quality! Your Christmas card is awesome, one of my favorites. Have a wonderful day my friend!

Pretty card Linda! Love that image on the postcard background! I wish they would just leave the time alone! Leave it! One good reason to move to AZ and again we would still have the too cold or too hot thing, but with less of the in between! Happy Vote Day! Hugs!

Oh, I'm with you, leave the clocks alone! My hubby normally takes the kids to school (high school) and they start early so we leave the house around 6:45, but he has been traveling a lot so I'm taking them. Well, with the time change the sun has already risen by the time we leave the house, arrgh!! It's completely cramping my sunrises....your photos are gorgeous!!

You seem to have the opposite to us ... It's cold, wet and dark here ... time to be indoors!
I love your card ... so pretty with that glittery star ... reminds me of perfect long forgotten Christmases ...

Your Christmas cards are so special. I'm with you on the time change. Leave. It. Alone. Please! My purple lantana has come back too, but it's not attracting butterflies. Great shots!

Hi Linda! I always hated the change too, but now here it wasn't quite as dark at 7:30am anymore! Weird huh? Anyway, I LOVE your card. Those vintage Christmas images are always my favorite on your cards (hint hint).

Love those leaves, what a beautiful photo. We have the same time thing here and yes, not every one is happy about it but on hot summer days it does give people a good few hours of daylight after work to spend out doors or at the beach. Your card is beautiful and the star is the perfect finishing touch. xx

There is something subtle in this card and I love the vintage look and feel of your card. Gorgeous take on the challenge!
I am with you; I am not a fan of putting the clock one hour back.... And I am jealous; it's rarely too hot here:) Right now it's raining cats and dogs here; yikes!
Hope all is well; hugs!

I love the card, it is beautiful. The glitter is amazing!

I don't know why we change the clocks, but I do like that it is light out when I go to work in the morning. I didn't like standing on the bus stop in the dark!

Glad you are having perfect weather, we are into our rainy season here, not so pleasant.
Love the card, it's a classic.

I so love that vintage image of Santa, he looks kind and jolly.

I think they should leave the clocks alone, too. It's cold and rainy here in the UK :o(

I would do just fine without time change. As it is I'm waking up way too early. Enjoy your weather while it lasts.

Lisa Gordon said...

Oh, just the opposite here! It has gotten so cold. Nineteen degrees when I went out to vote yesterday morning. :-(

I enjoy this time change for just a few weeks, as it means it is a bit light when I walk to work in the mornings, but I also don't like the fact that is dark by 5:00 pm.

I love these photos, especially the second one, and as always, your cards are so beautiful.

I hope you've had a wonderful day, my friend!

xo.

This has got to be one of my all time favorite cards from you. LOVE IT! That sparkly star mixed with that awesome vintage Christmas image--perfection!
I don't like the time change either. Too much dark time. :-( Hugs!

I hear you on that- LOVE your blooming flowers attracting those butterflies.

Fantastic!!!! You have brilliantly put together a sweet and fun holiday card, love this!

Talking about weather, it is funny how we see it differently, Randy and I thought that only 3 months in the summer is hot, the rest of the 9 months are just great, LOL! Maybe we lived in the east coast for 8 years that's why, we hardly have 2-3 months of nice weather in the Spring.
