Hello my Chickadees...

I do hope you all had a happy weekend!
My weekend was nice and quite.  Watched some
movies, went out to dinner with my hubby and did a little
crafting..  Life doesn't get much better than that.

Linking up with Texture Tuesday..  I used the texture AWAKEN at 100%

Ros is our host this week over at City Crafters
and has come up with a challenge that got me thinking.

"Winter Blues"

Do you get the winter blues?
Do you get tired of being cooped up indoors?
Do you live in a place where it's cloudy and gloomy all winter long?

I guess that is the one good thing about living in the desert.
The sky is blue most of the time. Don't get me wrong It gets
pretty darn cold here in the desert.  But Mr. Sunshine likes
to be out and about most of the time.

I usually don't get the Winter blues.  I wonder if its because I live
here in the desert.  I like to tease that I get cabin fever in the summer,
that's because when it's 115 degrees in the shade.
you definitely don't want to be outside unless your soaking
in a pool.  Even then you have to be lathered in sunscreen so
you don't fry.

Talking about the Winter Blues let me show you what I made
for this weeks challenge over at CCCB!

I created a tag once again.  Or I like to call it a bookmark.
As you can see it's nice and flat.  It's so hard not to add all kinds
of embellishments to a project like this.  But it needs to be flat
to be a bookmark.

Lots of Mod Podge used here.
Who doesn't love to play with Mod Podge.

I was having so much fun with this theme I
decided to keep playing and I made a
little ATC as well.

Lots of Birds here sing the Blues.. LOL..

So if you would like the details on this challenge you
just hop on over to CCCB.  And while you are there
you can check out the awesome projects the rest of the
Design team did.

I also wanted to say thanks to Kim Klassen
for Hosting Texture Tuesday..  Lots of fabulous photos
over there..  You should go take a look.

Well that's all I have for today..
It do hope you are happy where every you are
and what ever the weather is doing..

Till next time.

Linda~

Living on the Texas coast I don't normally get the "winter blues" but it's been very wintery here in terms of cold and grey skies and rain. I'm so ready for some sunshine! Love how you did your cuppa in a collage, and your bird cards...love!!

Love your wintery tag, Linda, I don't get the winter blues, even if it is cold and gray! Living in Scotland taught me that! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

These are gorgeous. I love the pretty whites and greens in your first short - sounds like you had a perfect weekend. I do get the winter blues I'm afraid (usually due to the rain here in the UK!). I love your winter blue image, so pretty and soft. Lovely tag you've made there too, very cute with the little bird.

Love your cards Linda. Cabin fever, yes, we've had a little of that lately with several very hot days and the air-con on.

I do indeed get the winter blues my friend. I am having a go at them right now. We didn't even get a winter break like we did last year when we went to Vegas. Can you believe that it was over a year ago that you, Becca and I met? Oh my stars. Where does that time go! We were thinking of popping off to Palm Springs later in February but have yet to find a seat sale. We will keep watching!

Wishing you a happy week Linda!

Linda, this is beautiful! The little bird is just perfect.

I don't normally get the winter blues, even though the winters here in NY seem to go on forever. I use the time to read and catch up on lists of things I want to learn. All things I would not do when the weather is wonderful.

I hope you've had a great day!

I really like winter - much prefer cold to heat, so I don't really get the winter blues. But, I LOVE your winter blues. Your tag and ATC are so pretty - the image is darling and the fibers on the tag are so pretty!

These are just adorable! I always think I'll get more crafting done in the winter months but I live in Florida and it has been fabulous weather this winter! I would rather walk out the door than stay inside! I have experienced the winter blues though...one of the reasons I was happy to retire here! Hugs!

We are so sick of the cold that we might make a trip to SG any time soon, go back to 87 all year round weather.
I love your little tag too, so sweet!

Hello my lovely Linda, what gorgeous creations here! My favourite has to be the ATC though, stunning! I just love how he sits by the frame of print,! We've snow here in England at the mo and yesterday I had two of the cheeky little "Blue Tits" taking it in turns to cling to the walls of my crafty cabin, like a little game seeing who could manage the longest. Have a lovely weekend, Julie x
