Hello my friends.
How is your weekend going?
I have been a little down and out, to say the least.
I had a little bit of skin cancer taken off
the top of my head. And some more off of the
top of my ear. I thought to myself no problem. I have
had skin cancer removed many times before.
But I have to say I have not enjoyed one single moment of this.
Maybe I am being a little bit
of a baby about it this time. But after seeing the 9 stitches on
top of my head and two on my ear I think I deserve to be a
little bit of a whiner.. With all these stitches I am beginning to
look a bit like Frankenstein.. Only Blonde.. Hee Hee
But as always there is a bright side.
I am taking good pain meds.
It was basal cell and not melanoma.
And I am definitely going to go out
and buy me some new hats.
Oh ya... and my hubby is waiting on me hand and foot..
you gotta love that.
Life is good!
Hugs~

SOOOO glad it is not melanoma! and SO glad you had it removed! bless you!
I am so glad for you....thanks the Lord!!!?....love from me....xxx....
How cute of you to see the bright side, lots of new hats and hubby waiting on you. It sounds like good results, praise the Lord.
When people mentioning whining I smile and think of "would you like some wine with that whine?"
Hope you soon feel better, the stitches will heal! If whining helps, just do it! Take good care of yourself, or let your hubby do it! Hugs, Valerie
So happy to hear the good news Linda! My friend was just diagnosed with stage 11 malignant melanoma found on top of his head. I can see you in a nice big brimmed floppy hat :)
I "hear " you Linda..had a few removed my self...hang in there
I'm so glad that it is not melanoma! and SO glad you had it removed! bless you my friend... thinking of you... and take care... hugs...xoxo
Thank God you are on the mend, lots of LOVE from me, HUGS.
Hope you're soon feeling much better - those stitches will hardly be visible where they are. So good you had a clear report. Time to relax and take it easy for a few days. What a great husband you have!
Whine away girl... you deserve too after what you have gone through! I hope you start feeling better soon!!!
So glad it wasn't melanoma! Take care!!!
Love that shot! And the words of recovery behind it.
Hope you heal quickly. That is such a fun photo.
The best thing to remember Linda, is that it is over again! thank goodness you are able to have the work done. It is probably the meds that are making you feel down. Spring is just around the corner. Whenever I get down, I try and focus on the things that will cheer me up! I am so hoping you are feeling better soon. Hugs and three cheers for hubby!and three cheers for Linda!
Glad you are feeling a little better! Not fun to have those removed, especially with 11 stitches!
Enjoy getting waited on and relax my friend :) Fun shot with the umbrella!
My best wishes for a speedy recovery. Enjoy your shopping spree for all those gorgeous hats!!
Take care.
Really hope you feel better soon. It's great news that is not malignant. Have a great day.
i've had skin cancer removed, too and it's not any fun... but it's such a blessing when they tell you it's just basal cell and nothing worse.....
happy {hopefully quick} healing !!
oh, and thanks for stopping by and saying "hi"

Love that shots Linda. Hope you are feeling better! Damn that desert sun!
Glad you are on the mend my friend, take care and real BIG HUG for all those stitches you've gone through.
xoxo......
Hugs and kisses for a speedy recovery. Good job you've dealt with it quickly tho; you don't want skin cancers hangin around. Love the cute photo and when you go 'hat shopping' take some snaps. My daughter and I always have a good old laugh at each other when we go trying on hats ! :) xx
Linda, it is very possible that it is the pain med that is making you feel this way, and I hope you are feeling better soon. I know that I for one, do not do well with pain med. great for the pain, but makes me feel pretty down/sad/depressed. I'm so glad that you are okay, and I hope you recover quickly.
What a sweetheart your hubby is!!!!
Sending you big hugs, my friend.
xo.
I am glad to hear that they are nothing to worry about. I agree with Mona, a nice big hat! My father has had a ton of skin cancer removed, it is something that runs in his family. Luckily I take after my mom's side of the family (American Indian), I am darker skinned and have brown hair and eyes. It takes a lot for me to burn. This reminds me that it is time for me to get checked. I still do, just in case. :)
Hugs~
Glad you are on the mend Linda. Take care and rest well. You definitely deserve new pretty hats! :)
Oh you poor sweet girl! I'm glad you have it all taken off and that you are going to buy yourself some hats...and lots of sun screen I hope! And I would say 'milk it for all it's worth' as far as hubby waiting on you hand and foot! ;)
xo Catherine
Yikes - that's a lot of stitches! However, the "waiting on me hands and foot" sounds great!
So glad to hear it's not melanoma and it's been removed! Hope you recover quickly, my friend. Thank the Lord for your good husband... what a blessing he must be!
Have a happy, restful day!
Sending lots of hugs and good wishes for a speedy recovery.
Oh, Linda, somehow I've missed so much over here! LOVE all your priceless pics! Keep taking them! And I'm sending lots of hugs your way today. Run to the window and catch them. Thinking of you!
Ouchie! Your poor little head and ear. :-( Bless that hubby of yours for being such a sweetie. Definitely grab yourself some new hats and enjoy the pampering. Hugs!
That is one bad thing about the hot desert Sun and being fair skinned! I hope you are feeling better and in no time the scars will go away! I had a BC over 15 years ago and they removed like a 1/4 inch plug and it hurt, so I hope those pain meds work for you! Hugs!
You're allowed to be a baby about this and to be waited on. It's no fun and I know you're glad it's over. Take care of yourself! Sending you an extra hug!
Huge huge huge HUGE hugs lovely Linda, lap up every minute of being waited on! Take care you xxxx
Yes, Linda you can Whine all you want, I know I would!! I hope they got it all and you are up and feeing good soon!!
I'm happy to hear they have been removed, there seems to be so many people getting them - you are lucky, you caught them early my friend. Sending you healing thoughts, and I hope your spirit returns very soon... xxx
Oh Linda...Ouch re: the stitches!...I'm so glad that it is not a baddie! and so glad you had it removed! ...enjoy being pampered...Wishing you a speedy recovery my friend...Big Hugs! Jan x
poor you! look after yourself and I hope you feel better soon
hello dear, what a horrible news! Take care, whine ahead (I would!) and enjoy the good cares of Mr. Waiter ;)
BIG HUG!
You have every right to pout, my friend!! Hugs!
Take care my friend, thinking of you
Hugs Julie P
So happy you are on the mend and I sending you get better hugs.
<3
Ouch. I can almost feel your pain. I guess it's tough being a blonde, fair skinned girl out in the desert, and you are paying the price. :(
I hope that umbrella you photographed is one you carry when you go outside!
Please, please wear the hats. It scares me for you to be talking about skin cancer. Take good care of yourself!
Glad you got it removed and that it wasn't more serious. I'm fairskinned and don't wear a hat. I'm in the sun too often during baseball season. This is a good reminder to cover up. Hope you heal soon.
I am glad it was not Melanoma Linda. I had a scare too a couple of years back and had to do the Efudex treatment, which if you look at the photos it's really scary because your whole face turns scab red. My reaction was minimal compared to most. Two spots have returned though and I have a derm appt next month. :(
Yes my friend...wear your hat. xo
