Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Sunday once again..
Where the heck did this week go.

ASIAN
This photo was taken at Lowes Home Improvement store.
Good thing my hubby wasn't with me.  The store was
packed and I was on my hands and knees trying to
get this shot..  He hates when I do that.

WAVY
These cute little birds were just trying to get away
from the WAVY waves..  I know it's a stretch but hey that's
what I do..

By the way I think these long legged cuties are called
Willet's.  My hubby thinks they are called sandpipers.
What do you think?

DRAW
This is one of the drawings from my Art journal.
Pretty scary I know.. That's why I usually don't share them.

SOFT
Our neighbors tree is in full blooms.
It is so pretty.  But it won't last long.

TEXTURE
This is a strawberry..
I do believe these yummy little fruits have lots of texture to them.
This was also taken at Lowes.  A perfect place to go to look for
Scavenger Hunt Photos. Hee Hee...

Thanks so much for stopping by,
I just wanted to thank you for all your kind comments.

Hugs~

Fantastic collection this week! Love that first shot. Seriously...looks like you were in Asia and NOT Lowes :)

Wow, wonderful interpretations and lovely photos!
I really like the Asian shot! My hubby wouldn't care but I haven't reached the point where I'm that comfortable. :)
The tiny hint into your art journal is intriguing and the strawberry for texture is awesome!

I just love seeing what you come up with, my family laugh at me when I take floor level photos, mine are done at arms length though using point and shoot, not many come out as I want them too but if I got down on the floor it would take me age to get back up lol! Happy Sunday! X

These are great shots, Linda. Yeah, I do think they look a lot like sandpipers :). You are so clever to take photos at Lowe's, I will follow suit soon at my local stores :). This time I'm with you, friend :).

Outstanding choices for this week's hunt. I love the Asian shot from the home depot store - I can completely relate to the reaction from family members to the lengths necessary to get THE picture. (great quote as well)

I love the strawberry pic, I take lots of pics at hardware, grocery, and other stores. Nothing wrong with that.

My wife and I call all little shore birds "gomers." I have no idea how we got started on that.

These are all great! I LOVE the "soft" shot. I laughed at you on your hands and knees in Home Depot. That is something I would do, and my husband would shake his head and walk far away from me! But, you got a great shot and the quote is perfect.

You sure find great stuff at Lowes - I'll have to use "georgy-vision" the next time I'm there . . . and discover another layer of experience . . hmm -
Really like your post -

I looked up "Willets' and you are correct - until you asked, i would have said "sandpiper." too.

Wonderful Day to You!

the joys of being w/ someone who photographs anything & anywhere b/c we don't care! love that!

the birds, the beaks look more like a willet...

i like your drawing. i like "dark" things. they have a meaning behind each drawing.

Amazing photos today. I really have to laugh thinking of you walking around Lowe's talking shots of the merchandise... a true photographer! I can't get over the strawberry... I guess I just never really look at them that close... utterly amazing!!!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

When you said you got that first shot at Lowes my jaw dropped. I thought you had tone to some exotic location. I need to haul myself over there stat! Lol Beautiful focus on the strawberry. Have a great week, Linda!

Super set. - Wow your Asian and Texture shots blew me away. They are amazing.
We don't have a "Lowe's" here but that was a great idea. I think Furniture stores are also fun to use to find prompts.

I always love seeing how you interpret the prompts with your beautiful photography - as always, real eye candy here! xx

All so beautiful. The awkward pose for the first one was definitely worth it and I love the quote. The blossom photo is divine and I really love the texture and colour of the strawberry. I so love seeing your Scavenger Hunt photos, there's always some little surprises in there. xx

Gorgeous photo's once again, Linda, I would have said Sandpiper's, but I am no bird expert! I love the ocean and the birds! Have a wonderful Monday!

But as always, you have such gorgeous photos! Love the texture of the strawberry. The detail is amazing! Love the Buddha and the soft flower, too, and the birds are beautiful. I would think they were Sandpipers, too...

Well if I'm ever in Lowe's and see someone on their hands and knees taking pictures I'll know who it is. Hee hee. The strawberry shot is amazing. Hugs my friend!

Im always intrigued by our amazing photos! The funniest thing about you on your hand and knees getting the shot is thinking of people watching you and wondering what is going thru their minds LOL!! I love the strawberry! And the willet is part of the sandpiper family so you are both right:)

Leave It To Davis said...

lol...it's nice to know someone else embarasses their husband by going to extremes to get a picture of something on the hunt!

Love the texture of the strawberry. I wish I had a better camera and could get good close ups like that! I also loved your neighbors bloom!!! Is that a peach tree?

Cindy said...

All of your photos are fabulous! I love the strawberry, you're right it has great texture.

AppleApricot Wen said...

hahaha, yes I know exactly what you mean, crawling on your belly to get the best shot and your company ashamed of you doing that :) :) :)
I actually like to sit on the floor in the middle of a (crowded) book shop as well, to take some reading-before-buying time.
Anyway, your photos are fabulous again, great shots of the wavy whatever-birds and the strawberry! Hugs and happy day

Hi Linda! I do love your photos here. And I had to laugh about your comment on the photo taken at Lowe's. I'm fortunate that my hubby is also a photographer and gets into more embarrassing positions than I do. :)

Wishing you and yours a lovely Easter!

What a fab assortment of pics, Linda! The green strawberry and pink cherry blossom are my faves. THose birds...I thought they were called sandpipers too. I hadn't heard of the term Willets. Hmmmm. Something to look up on the internet!
