Friday Already...

Time for some Random 5 on Friday.

1.  Well we have been living in Big Bertha now for a little over a week.
And it not so bad.  In fact I am loving it so far.  We shall see how I feel
after a month.  I could be singing a different tune.

2.  Our first stop on our Adventure was Lake Mead.
We camped out here for six nights then made the move to
Boulder City, NV.  We will be here for about three weeks.
Then we will be taking off to sunny California.

3.  I was loving the gorgeous view we had while we were at
Lake Mead..  It made the move into Big Bertha so worth it.
Can you just imagine the views I will be seeing when we finally
Leave the Vegas area.

4.  We will not be wandering off to far from the Vegas area yet.
Why you ask...  Because my Hubby is still working.
He retires August 1.  Then our first Big stop after that will be
The Grand Tetons, WY..  We can't wait!

5.  So are you wondering what one does in an RV all day?
Watch TV and eat bon-bons of course. LOL..

Right now I have been trying to organize.. STILL...

I did make a Lasagna in the crock-pot the other day.
See...One can still be a little bit domesticated while they are living
in a house with wheels. LOL.

Thanks so much for stopping by and listening to my
Friday rambles..

Till next time..

Hugs~

PS..  Just in case you were wondering, Boulder City is just a hop, skip and a jump from Vegas.

I envy you the freedom and adventure your new life will surely offer. I also envy the requirement to be frugal and organized - I dream of clearing the clutter from around the house, but never seem to make the time to do it.

The lighting on that last shot is amazing.

Have a wonderful weekend, Linda!

This is so exciting for you. Me thinks that this is a smart move-like a trial run. You may learn some things before Aug 1 that will help when you move farther away from home base. Beautiful images. New surrounds seem to spark creativity and an uptick in the photographic mojo. Jealous.

I would be thinking after hubby goes to work I would be back sleeping, Linda, but who knows maybe you are a morning person. It sounds like the new adventure is still on, kind of like a honeymoon, but I know no matter what you will make it work and find so much enjoyment. It is a cool 55 out and we were down in the 40's last night. Have a wonderful weekend! Looking forward to all the stories, yes, how is the cat?

Beautiful photos, and I have great admiration for your adventure on wheels!!
We were in the Lake Mead / Vegas / Boulder City area a few years ago.. also into the Arizona & Utah corners.. there looked like some wonderful places for RV's along lake Mead! One place we ran into by chance - you may have already passed it by, was Valley of Fire St. Park outside of Vegas by Lake Mead's north shore. VERY COOL PLACE!!

Loving the sound of your gypsy life. You amaze me with the apparent ease by which you have changed from real house to moveable house. Lasagne in a crock pot, well done, I'm sure you will get very 'creative' with meals. Enjoy your freedom and safe travels. xx

Well Linda, it sounds like you are off to a great start. Glad it is going so well. Some lovely scenery. I bet you will see some awesome sunrises and sunsets.

Mary said...

Ooooo, you are having fun! And crock pot lasagna sounds yummy.

I imagine it's probably a good idea to take things a bit slow til you figure out just how the new residence is going to play out. You are going to love the Tetons. All those jagged peaks rising up in a line, full of snow gleaming in the sun...it's breathtaking. We got to see a momma moose and her baby when we were there. Didn't get to explore a whole lot in Jackson Hole, but make sure you get into the center of town and snap some pics of the fabulous elk horn arches. Can't wait to see what you capture on your camera. :-) Thanks for keeping up with my blog. I know you're going to get busier and busier, but I want to stay in touch. Eat a bon bon or two for me. :-) Hugs!

So glad you are enjoying your journey so far. Beautiful photos Linda:) I especially like the one of the lake. Don't know what a crack-pot looks like as I have never seen or even heard of one before!!! Must be fun just being
in a different location every night.
Warmest Regards.
Sonjia.

It will be amazing having different views and places to enjoy each week. Our neighbours have recently retired and love spending months at a time away in their caravan.

having just moved into a "traditional" (aka, sadly, wheel-less, lol!) home, i can not even imagine the challenge of having downsized to the point of big bertha (charming tho she is, o'course!!!) and then having to decide where/when/ to drive/move/park one's abode whilst also unpacking, organizing, arranging meals, etc etc etc. and certainly i would not be uploading that quality of photos too, at the same time as all of the above! you're a ♥MARVEL♥ missus!!! :) :) :)
