Hello my sweet Friends

I know its been a while..

My short break was not intended.
We have had no services at all where we are camped out..

(Can you hear me now?)

We headed north with Big Bertha and have been camped out in
a beautiful spot.  I really never considered the high desert very pretty.
But here in Northern Nevada it is much greener than I had expected.

Funny how I grew up in Nevada but never headed north.

We have been enjoying our time.
And really enjoying the cooler weather.  I love it when I wake
up and its only in the high 40’s.

I've been enjoying capturing photos of all kinds of critters.

Even the ones trying to sneak some bird seed before the bluebirds see him.

I think my hubby might be starting up a new hobby.
Yep... That's a camera he has.

I do believe I am going to enjoy this new way of life for us.
So much to see in this great big world of ours..

I am just hoping that most of our stops will have phone service so
that I can keep up with what you are all up to.

If I worked this out right you should be reading this while we
are on our way to our next stop.
A campground right outside of Salt Lake City, UT

I'm sure they should have services there don't ya think.

Hoping to catch up soon!
Hugs~

Update:  If you want to know what those cone shaped structures are
you can hop over to my hubby blog HERE!

So much fun your are having, Linda! I really think that what you are doing is fabulous! Love all the photo's as well. 40's sound wonderful, our low was 77 our high 103+. Am looking forward to fall, but I should not want to miss a day, not even a hot one. We got a new kitten, my son Andrew was here and he just thought it was necessary, my three other cats were not in agreement! Have a wonderful time in Salt Lake! Hugs

It's so good to hear from you Linda and I am happy you are enjoying your new life so far! The photos are lovely and it's so great your husband is taking up some photography too. I would love to know what those beehive like structures are...they are so cool looking.

We have been to Salt Lake City before. We went to be the support team for our son who ran an ultra marathon...a 50 mile race! I would rather travel 50 miles in an RV like Bertha than run it, wouldn't you?

I think being unplugged for a bit served you well. YOu've created some great images. My fave is the down the line fence shot. I have no idea what those round stone things are in the last image. Guess I'll have to visit a green desert too. PS....I've only driven to northern Maine once! I could try that again too.

Thank you for thinking of us - BUT - gotta say - you'll be able to become the person YOU decide to be - when you have time to enjoy "The Now" where ever you are -

This - This You - Impresses me.

Thanks again for taking time for us.

Hi! I love your photos, especially that sleepy looking lizard! What are those triangular structures with the little windows, in your last shot, Linda? If you don't mind me asking...! I am fascinated. Big traveling hugs, kath

Glad to know you are safe and well and enjoying your journey. Hmmm, what are those stone things in the last shot anyway? Any ideas?

Living in the High Desert here in CA, there are things to love and not! The HD in NV must get much more rain to be green and so beautiful! Love the photos and again I hope you both are enjoying retirement! Two more years here! Hugs!

Great to hear from you! It is amazing what a little bit of rain does for the desert isnt it! Love all your critter shots. So much to see and I know you guys will enjoy every minute of it. Salt lake is a beautiful area so will be waiting to see the beauty thru your lens :) Safe travels my friend!!

Hi Linda!
I'm really going to love seeing all the fun places you guys are visiting! I think high desert (ilke Bend, Or) can be pretty in the summertime, but HD gets too much snow in the wintertime for my taste! I'll just stick to rainy/wet. :-) Love the chipmunk...what a little cutie! Looking forward to your next campsite!

Just last night, I was wondering where you'd been! :-)
It sounds like you are having an amazing time, and I am so happy for you. I think that sometimes, no internet is really very good. Sometimes. :-)

Happy day to you, my friend. xo.

I'm ooh-ing and aahh-ing at your photos!
A few years ago, my husband & I took a free spirited adventure, traveling by the seat of our pants northern Nevada, southern Utah, and a little Arizona in there, too - and I LOVED it. Such an amazing area.
All of these photos are so cool!

Yay, a Linda post!! So, so glad to hear that things are going well with you two and that your absence is only due to service issues! What a beautiful spot you have been camped in! LOVE all the photos! Cannot wait to see the next stop on your adventure!

You two are getting to see and experience so much. That is so awesome! Travel safe my friend and we shall hope for internet service everywhere you stop. :)

Love the idea of cooler temperatures - just not too cold, just enough to pull on an extra blanket and snooze for a bit longer. Love that your husband is picking up the camera - you'll have to share some of his perspective.

Oh you really are "at one with nature", such beautiful images, and if that means no phone service or technology then I think you are still definitely the winner. I'm so glad you're enjoying your new way of life...it certainly looks idealic. Hubby looks right at home with his camera too. Safe travels. xx
