Friday Randomness...

Just some random things that are going on in my world.

1.  I put out my bird feeder..  But didn't have any taker...
Til yesterday.

2.  The Tetons National Park is only a half hour drive from where we are staying.
On Wednesday we took the short drive to the park just to find out that the road was
closed to get in.  Don't know why it was closed, But I was bummed.

3.  So after making the u-turn at the Tetons National park we headed to Jackson Hole.
A pretty good back-up plan if I do say so myself.  We went to the Million Dollar Cowboy bar,
where they have saddles as bar stools..  Not too comfy at all..
I guess I'm not a real Cowgirl after all. LOL.

4.  Made some yummy homemade Blue Berry muffins this morning.
OK.. I have to admit they were Betty Crocker Box mix.
But they were still yummy.

5. We are going to the Idaho State Fair Today.  It's a two hour drive for us
and I am hoping there are no roads closed along the way.
I have heard the food is fabulous. (That's what the locals are telling us.)
The problem I have is when I'm at a fair I can't
get past the Corn dog booth.  I LOVE them.
Not to mention the Kettle Corn.

To read what randomness is going on with the others you
can hop on over to Nancy's Blog

Thanks so much for stopping by..

Hugs~

baking and bird feeders on the road you give a whole new to look living and travelling on the road. Such a beautiful shot of the bird...boxed or not you made them! I hate when things are closed. Nice shot of you in the not so comfortable saddle seat.

Great photos! We can't have bird feeders out, as there is a 600 pound bear in the neighborhood ripping them all down! He is a big sucker!

Aloha and TGIF!

Saddles as bar stools? It looks awesome but I probably wouldn't fit it comfortable either! But I do really like that photo :)

Linda,

I love your second photo. It is simple and says so much.

I like blueberries too. I tend to like them in something better than by themselves. Ice cream, muffins, salad ... yummy.

Have fun at the Idaho State Fair! My 2013 NE State Fair was great. There is a local steakhouse that had a food truck at the Fair. The first day I had a brisket sandwich, delicious. The next day I went for the pulled pork. It was out of this world good!

My Hubby is the State Fair Corn Dog eater in our family.

Well, I could never sit on one of those saddles. And, did someone say corn dogs? OMG, I can almost smell them. Have a great time!

I used to love eating corn dogs at the fair. I think it would be fun sitting on a saddle - at least you wouldn't get bucked off.

It sure sounds like you're having a wonderful time.
I agree with you .... those saddle stools do NOT look comfy! LOL

Hope you had fun at the fair Linda! Oh my gosh! That first photo is of a chickadee! That's the bird I told you about that has built nests twice this past spring in our little chickadee bird house! I love those little birds!

Those saddle seats make a great photo but i don't think I'd like them either! LOVE your muffins - box mixes taste good, too!

I love that last shot...as for the barstools, maybe you needed a sidesaddle...haha...just trying to be funny.

Love the colors in that bird shot Linda! You look so pretty (and relaxed) in the restaurant (even if the stool was uncomfortable). :)

Nancy said...

I think the saddle stools would make me feel a bit, ahem, uncomfortable.

Have a funnel cake at the fair for me -- my favorite! :)

Nancy said...

I love the saddles for the bar stools but yea probably not that comfortable....

I hope you had fun at the fair and didn't get sick on the rides..

Oh this was very fun for me...saddles as a bar stool....this cowgirl would of been yelling...Giddy Up cowboy! Just too fun! Thanks for sharing...loved it.

Tracy said...

Hmmmm I'm hungry for blueberry muffins now. LOL. Wonder if the closure had anything to do with the elk???? The fair sounds like a good photo open. :-) Hugs!

saddles for bar stools. What were they thinking. Not everyone's seat is made the same if you know what I mean!

Yummy pancakes. Wish I had some.

Ros Crawford said...

Stunning shots and I'm loving travelling with you ... Thanks so much for keeping us in touch ... Enjoy the fair!!

Audrey Pettit said...

That is a bummer about the park being closed, Linda! But I'm so glad you are finding so many other lovely things to do instead. How fun that bar sounds....although I wouldn't be comfortable in a saddle, either! ;)

Catherine said...

LOL! I am thinking you would indeed have to be a true cowgirl/boy to enjoy sitting on those restaurant stools! Haha! Love the little bird eating at your feeder. So cute!

Happy weekend Linda!

OMG...the Tetons National Park to the the Idaho State Fair all within driving distance...how awesome. And that fair food is bound to be good, never ate fair food that I didn't love!! And I hear ya about those saddle seats, not comfortable on a horse so why would they be comfortable at a bar/counter?? Have fun....big hugs!!

What a wonderful taker for your bird feeder! Love the bar, but I can see how the saddles might not be the best seating. Love your photos!
