Hanging out at the feeder

I could sit all day and watch the birds at the feeder.
And what a busy feeder it has been lately.

I have the feeder hanging right outside my back window.
I sometimes wonder if they can see me
snapping off shots of them.

Here is a Spotted Towhee..
I usually don't know the names of Birds, but I looked these up.
So if I am wrong, Please me know.

A cute little Blacked-capped Chickadee.

Dark Eyed Junco
These guys are quick.  I finally got a shot that wasn't all blurry.

This guy showed up a little bit late to the party.

But now that he found the feeder
he will do what ever it takes to get to those seeds.

I hope everyone's enjoying the Holiday Season.
We are still here in Washington State and It has been darn right cold.
But we have been out and about not letting the
cold keep us down.  We are hoping to make it to the
Hoh Rain Forest this coming up week to do some Hiking.
I am sure it will be raining. But who doesn't like to hike in the rain.
It's the darn wind that I don't like to hike in.

I just want to say thanks once again for all the kind comments
I know I have been slow at getting around to seeing your blogs,
but I really haven't been on the computer much.
I do hope you are all doing well.

Hugs~

What beautiful birds, Linda! It's fun to see ones that I've never seen before. I don't like wind, but I have to say, I wouldn't feel like hiking in the rain either! Today I am snuggled up in a blanket, healing. Sleepy day...

The birds offer a good deal of entertainment and of course the squirrels are part of the package. Great photos.

Hey Linda, beautiful little birds and your photos of them are just brilliant. I am so loving following you around on your travels and I'm so glad I can do it on Instagram too. Hiking sounds like fun and I'm definitely with you on the wind issue.... it's not fun doing anything in the wind, unless you're sailing maybe.:) I hope you are enjoying the lead up to Christmas....I'm not organised but that's nothing new. Safe travels my friend xx

Oh you are getting some very sweet guests at your feeder Linda! Adorable! I put out extra bird seed this weekend due to our extreme cold. I don't want my bird friends to freeze their tail feathers!!!

Have a happy week my friend!

Aw, love all the bird photos Linda, and the chickadee remains my favorite probably because they built a nest at our house last spring! I agree with Teresa…that squirrel is CUTE! I think he looks pretty much like the ones we have here in Kirkland, maybe that one is a little darker. Anyway…yea…it's freezing! I'll be glad when it warms up next week to the 40's! (still hoping' for "flurries" on Tuesday though…I think it would be pretty! LOL Have fun at the Hoh Rain Forest…that place is amazing!

OH MY GOODNESS, your photos are out of this world-if those beautiful little creatures know you are there, they do not care, you and your camera are a friend.

Wowsers Linda...you are an amazing photographer. I especially love the chickadee...we get a lot of those on our feeders too.

Your shot of downtown Port Townsend is just lovely. It's so enjoyable to walk in places that have that charm.

Stay warm! Hope you have a great hike! xo

Beautiful shots! Amazes me that you can ever get any in focus at all, what with the quick movements of all those little critters. I'm smiling over that squirrel....I noticed one at my neighbor's feeder yesterday hanging completely upside down from the bottom of the feeder, and doing leg bends to get up to grab a seed before flopping upside down again. My gosh, those fellows are crafty, aren't they?

So good to see you again. I can understand why you haven't been online much with these cast of characters to entertain you! Beautiful shots of the birds, Linda. Enjoy hiking in the rain, but don't go and get yourself sick!

They are just adorable, Linda, ad your photographs of them are so wonderful!

I like to sit and watch the deer eat from our bird feeders. Yup, it's true! Over the past month or so, a mom and what look like twins. Same time, every day, and they do not leave until the feeder is completely empty. I so love watching them.

I wish you a wonderful week ahead, my friend! Stay warm!

Great shots! I really like to watch the birds as well. We got some snow over the weekend and all the birds came out. I gave them some seed to get them to stick around. That squirrel is the cutest!
