The Christmas Spirit

Have you got it?

Are you feeling it?

I am definitely feeling it.
I was thinking that I wouldn't be in the
Christmas mood at all this year.

With everything being so different this year,
I was really worried that I might get a little bit down.

But that didn't happen.
I pulled out a few of my favorite Christmas decorations that I brought with me.
We set out to buy some lights and hang them on "Big Bertha".
We put up a tiny little tree with sparkling lights on it and set it outside right next to our door.

And in this little town of Port Townsend they had a tree lighting ceremony.
So we bundled up with our hats and scarves and braved the chilly air.
Now if that doesn't get you in the Christmas mood nothing will.
We even got a glimpse of Santa as we were listening to Christmas carolers.

Not only did we see Santa but we listened to the beautiful music
this young chap played on his flute.  His poor fingers must have been frozen.

So my hopes are that you have all the
Christmas Spirit that this time of the year can bring.

Thanks once again for all your kind comments.
I feel so blessed to have met so many nice people here in Blogland.

I am playing along with
Song-ography
This weeks song is brought to you by
Michael Buble's  "It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas".
Thanks Kathy

Well if I WASN'T in the Christmas mood before visiting all the Song-ography submissions...I def am now :). I ADORE that B/W shot of Santa...the whole composition is nothing short of fabulous. I do wonder how I'd feel if I wasn't in the home I'm use to for Christmas? If I'd be "feeling" the Christmas spirit. After reading your account tho...I think home is where the heart is no matter where you are physically. Thanks for joining in on Song-ography.

What a beautiful Christmas post.....if I wasn't in the Christmas mood before then I certainly am now after visiting you. Your photos are just wonderful Linda and I'm so happy that you and hubby are enjoying your Christmas in Big Bertha. I guess it doesn't really matter where you are experiencing Christmas as long as you feel the joy and the good will all around you. All the very best of the season to you my friend. xx

The Christmas spirit on wheels. How fortunate to come across a tree lighting. I'm glad you remembered to pack a few faves for Big Bertha. Go get those lights...they'll look great decorating an awning or something on a warm summer night.
Fingers of the flute player-how about the lips?
