A Look back at the Emerald City.

Before we left Washington State we had the chance to
hang out in the beautiful city of Seattle.  So for my Random Five Friday
I thought I would share some of those photos with you.

Five photos of Seattle

We woke up early and took the hour long drive over to Bainbridge Island.
That is where we caught the ferry to get over to Seattle.  It is such a beautiful drive and
the ferry ride was a treat as well..  The photo above is the view of Seattle from the ferry.

Seattle is such a walk-able city.. I just love that about a city.
We had breakfast at a cute little pub and then we went on the
underground tour.  If you have never been to Seattle I would recommend it
if you like to do tours.  Lots of History was given of the city and it is so cool to
see the city under the city.

Of course when you go to Seattle you have to go to
Pikes Place Market.  It was so nice going this time of year because it wasn't
jammed packed with tourist.

Once you are inside the market the sights and smells took over the senses.
A feast for the eyes that's for sure.

It was a pretty gloomy day which is typical for this time of year.
But I didn't mind it one bit..  I LOVE the overcast rainy feel the day had.
We made our way over to the space needle but my camera battery went dead.
So this was the last shot I got before it died.  It is Seattle's Ferris wheel.
I would love to take a ride someday.  We will definitely be back to this great city because
my BFF lives here, And she is crazy over this city.  I can see why.

I just wanted to say thanks so much for all the kind comments
on my Last Post.  You guys really are the best.  My Dad is in Hospice care
at home right now.  He is fighting the good fight. And we are here to help out anyway we can.
My Dad is such a fighter I think he might just pull out of this.

Thanks again my friends.

Hugs~

I was station at Ft. Lewis, Washington and loved visiting Seattle. If it had not been so expensive to live there I think I would have stayed. Enjoyed reminiscing as I looked at your photos.

Your shots are amazing! The Ferris wheel must be fairly new. I don't remember it when we were there 7 years ago. I love that place. Glad you can have some good time with your dad. Miracles do happen.

Hello, Linda, dear! I can't believe I missed you when you were here but I do love your photos of our gloomy winter. :) Next time you come we will all have to get together. I can't believe that Becca and I still haven't met up but I've been tied with some family matters. She is such a great ambassador for Seattle – makes me proud. :)

I hope all is well with your family.

Sending a big hug.

Wow you got some great shots of Seattle. I haven't been there in sometime. In fact the Ferris Wheel was not there when I visited last. I need to make another trip up there just to see that (and maybe even take a ride on it). Pike's Market is so interesting. Glad you enjoyed your stay in our fair state.
