Imagine

Imagine there's no Heaven,  It's easy if you try

No Hell below us, Above us only sky

Imagine all the People, Living for today..

I love this Beatles song and it is the song title this week
over at Song-ography. The crazy thing is, I know every word to this song but
never really paid attention to the meaning..

To tell you the truth I do hope there is a Heaven and Hell.
I think it keeps us just a little bit honest if you know what I mean.
But I sure do love the idea of living for today..

We were on our way to California and got side tracked..
We made a stop in Quartzsite, AZ.  The plan was just to stay one night and visit some
friends.  That's the good part of being retired,  We just fly by the seats of our pants.
So 3 days later we are still here with all the Crazy RVer's here Quartzsite.

I keep telling my husband the ocean is calling,
But we have one more change in our plans.  We are thinking about
spending a couple of days in Palm Springs now.  Its on the way and we
have never been there. So why not.  I guess the ocean will have to wait.

I want to say Thanks so much for all your kind comments my friends.
You definitely make me feel Loved.

That is what is nice about your life, Linda, if you want to do it you are able and if you don't want to, you don't have to. There is something kind of peaceful about your photo's today...indeed they are less busy, the desert very quiet...but I am glad you are enjoying all of it. Palm Springs sounds nice, look forward to seeing all your photo's! Hugs and happy camping!

I'm thinking that an RV may be in my future too...how fun to just be able to "go" and "stay" and then go again....I love it. Love the photo of the succulents!

Plus, I love that song by John Lennon, especially when they play it on New Year's eve ball drop in NYC!

Beautiful images and it is an amazing song still so powerful and apt even after all these years, maybe even more so in fact.

I have to admit, the "Imagine there's no Heaven" lyric is the ONE lyric in the song that bothers me. I just don't WANT to believe there isn't a Heaven. I believe it inspires us to have that belief within us. But the REST of lyrics? Dead on! And what a beautiful photo. How could there NOT be a Heaven with that beauty? Thanks for joining in at Song-ography. I enjoy seeing you here back in Blog land :)

I think the ocean calls to us all. It's been 11 years since I was there. Sigh. I guess that goes with the territory when you're from Kansas. Sounds like a peaceful, relaxing way to live. Enjoy it for us all! Hugs!

Lovely desert pics! Lots of prickly cactuses there. So different from here on the East Coast.

Yes, I want a heaven and a hell. You're right about it keeping us honest. I had read (twice) a book called, "Heaven Is Real", by Pastor Todd Burpo. Have you heard of it? His son was 3 years old, and almost died due to a burst appendix. While his son was on the operating table, he visited Heaven...without actually dying. His son spoke in bits and pieces about what happened to him over the next couple of years, flooring his parents. I loved every word of his experience. The boy is now a teen, and has been on the Today Show a few times. I highly recommend the book.
