Hello again my sweet Friends.

I know this is my second post this week.
I'm  as shocked as you are but I've been wanting to
play along with some of my favorite Meme's.

Back when we were in Imperial Beach, CA we were backed up to a
fence and that fence was covered in these beautiful Morning Glories.

On the other side of the fence was a Bird Refuge.
On most days we didn't see too many birds.

Just these red finches every now and then.

And then when least expected I saw him there.
Yep, Right there on the other side of the fence.
A Great Blue Heron.  I'm pretty sure he was checking me out. LOL

He didn't hang around too long.
I guess he saw I had my camera and he was off.

What an awesome wing span this guy had.

Playing along with
Teresa's

And now for

So glad to have Nancy back, Now I just have to get in the groove
of posting randomness.  LOL  So here we go

1.  We are a little bit further up the California coast in San Luis Obispo

2.  We are making our way up to Oregon for our summer hosting job.
It starts on April 1.  Yep April fools day,  I hope that's not a bad sign.

3. I am pretty excited about this  hosting job as it is right on the Ocean.

4.  The draw back will be the towns that are close by are really small.
So it will be a drive to do our shopping.

5.  The best part is that it is only a 3 hour drive to Portland.
And we all know who's in Portland right.
My Daughter and SIL and my Grandson.

Thanks so much my friends
I do hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Till next time.

HUGS~

I've been meaning to ask you, Linda - what lens do you use? I don't often ask that of people, and don't mean to pry. I've just love your photos and have been curious on many occasions. :)
We hope to explore as far south as San Luis Obispo when we fly into San Fransisco next month.
I'm excited for you and your summer plans, the Oregon Coast is my favorite! Sounds wonderful.

I was extremely delighted to see the morning glories. My favorite and the reason why...I have fond, fond memories of my mom growing them. Great fence pics.
Enjoy this lovely day.

Wonderful selection here today. That morning glory on the fence is a gorgeous color. Loved the Heron watching you from behind the fence.

Never seen a red finch but we get yellow ones here.

Hi Linda! Lovely shots! The Blue Heron is an amazing bird to watch isn't it? I can still remember picking my jaw off of the ground when I walked out on our deck and saw one on the neighbor's roof! He even came back the next day...posed for a few shots, then flew off with those large lovely wings! Great random 5!

Oh...yay! You'll be in Oregon for the summer...where exactly? I'd love to meet you if possible.

Sometimes we have blue herons just across the fence in our yard, too - but I never have my camera with me. Today I've had my eye on a big raccoon that's up in a tree.

LOL I already knew where you were headed when you said you were going north. Morning glories are a fave of mine from childhood. They're so free spirited just popping up wherever. Great snaps of the heron too. Safe travels! Hugs!

Morning glory is one of my favorite vines. I still remember them from when I was a kid and one was wrapped around our mailbox. Beautiful CA post and now you are in my last residence south of SLO, in Arroyo Grande. Best downtown coffee shop there on main street. Wonderful cinnamon buns homemade.

Ooh, San Luis Obispo!! It's so pretty there! I do hope you are enjoying yourself! Love that you are working your way up the coast, on your way to Oregon. What a fabulous trip. And LOVE your gorgeous "fence" photos. The morning glories are so sweet, and I love your bird shots. We get some Great Blue Herons here and they always fill me with awe! TFS, and have a great weekend!

Oh the birds are so lovely, Linda! How fun to spend the summer in OR and so close to those special Portland people! We are going there again end of April, via the big bird in the sky! I so want to do a road trip one day! Enjoy the weekend! Hugs!

Beautiful photos, also I am envious of you going to Oregon I just spent 9 months there but had to come back to the desert for family obligations. Have a wonderful summer.

Ida said...

Where on the OR coast are you hosting? - The towns are small but they are close together. Florence is fairly good sized though so you shouldn't have a problem shopping depending on where you are at.
Yep Portland is close by but still a bit of a drive.

That Heron is a beauty and that wing span is pretty impressive. Isn't it nice to have Nancy back? Oregon is one place we are considering retiring to. Frankie and I may try to get up there over spring break. Happy travels!

Morning glories are...glorious! I'm wondering now where your hosting will be? I loved many of the beach towns in Oregon when we did the coast a few years ago. Yachats was so beautiful with its tide pools and water spouts coming up from the rocks. Of course, we liked visiting Portland and vicinity, too. Keep enjoying your trip!

I always thing the Great Blue Herons are great! They have such an awesome wingspan, and such piercing eyes...

Oh, I can only imagine your anticipation at being closer to your grandson.
