Let the sunshine in...

So can you really believe how fast summer is going by.
It seems the older I get the fast time goes by.
So I soak it all in and try to enjoy everyday I can.

Well it's Tuesday which means time for
another  challenge over at
And I am the Host this week, So when I was trying to
come up with a theme for this week the only think that kept popping
in my head was the hot summer sun that
we have here in the desert..  So I went with it.
All you need to do for this week challenge is to have a
"sun" or the word "sun" on your project.
Pretty easy right!!

I just love this stamp. It is one of my favorites.
And I must admit I use it a lot.

I made a simple card for this week because it just seem fitting.
I used black embossing powder for my sun so it looks shiny in the
right light.

I did some doddle stitching around the edges.
Again I don't know why I didn't use my sewing machine.
Just didn't seem to fit the project. I really don't know why!

So there you have it another card for CCCB.
To get all the details or to see the other DT cards you
can hop on over to CCCB!

Thanks so much for stopping by and a real big
THANK YOU
for all your kind comments.
They mean the world to me!!

This is beautiful, Linda. I love that sun. I used to have my living room decorated in a bunch of sun pictures just like this in the mid 90's. How funny! :)

Love you welcoming the "sunshine" with your cherry and lovely card! I think the hot summers of the desert and Sun would be wonderful without the dust that follows! Not sure about you, but nothing like dusting and within hours, it is back like Bob! Happy Sunny Tuesday!

This is just beautiful, Linda! What a fun challenge theme you've come up with this week. So perfect for this time of year. We are in for record breaking heat today, so this seems very fitting. Love that stamp image...so unique and fun. The embossing is a great touch and I love the layers and simple color combo. Totally striking. And I agree, the drawn stitching really seems the ticket here.
