Not a Girly-girl...

So How was your New Years?

Sad to say we were in bed before
midnight.  But we really did try to stay up
this year we made it till almost 11:00..

I remember the good old days when I would
have big plans for a night out on the town..
(Vegas is perfect place to party for New Years, even 25 years ago)
And not even start to get ready
till 8:00 and party the night away!

Sad to say I don't miss those days at all!

I just love this quote,
It's from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I think it is a great quote to think about
as we start off this New Year.

It is Tuesday so that means it's time
for another challenge over at
City Crafter Challenge Blog.

Cheryl is our hostess and the theme
this week is "Save the Date"

I had so much fun with this image.
My copic coloring isn't as great as some of you,
but I gave it my best shot..

Truth be told I don't even own a pair of heels..
I guess you can say I am really not a girly-girl.
Just give me my Chucks and I am one
happy gal!

So if you want to play along with us this week
you can get all the details
over at CCCB.
You might get a chance to win
some Digi Stamps from Bugaboo!
That's were I got this digi stamp from!

Well I better get off this computer
I still have to take down my Christmas decorations.
How sad is that.  I am off my game this year!

Have fun my friends.
till next time,

Hugs, Linda

Adorable card and she makes me want to go shopping! We made it to 12:00 and then some! WooHoo for us oldies, but goodies! Actully we went out with friends and I have to tell you, it was fun! Most years we are asleep by 11:00 as we get up so darn early! This is on the 2nd time I have gone out on NYE, but in the younger days, would stay up and make an array of snacks! Have a great Tuesday! Hugs!

Happy New Year Linda. Loving your fun card. Copics are really difficult to use on fine line drawings and you have coped brilliantly. xx

Thanks for sharing the quote from Goethe. did you know I major in German in college? I went to visit his birthplace in Frankfurt back in the late 80s...then hubby got his finger hurt at Goethe's house with the door!!! --LOL, kind of freaky when I think about it )!! Nevertheless, I love Gothe! Your card with the copic coloring is DARLING! I love bright colors! Happy New Year to you, my friend! xoxo

Hi Linda! Happy New Year! I think you did a great job coloring this lady who shopped for shoes. (I don't own heels anymore; once bunions came along, heels went out the door!)

We put away half our decorations, but are keeping up anything snowman related. That seems like good decor for a cold season!

Cute card! I like that she is wearing "readers" :-)
Cute shoes too! I can't wear high heels and be comfortable like I used to...AND you couldn't pay me enough to wear heels and walk around Caesars anymore either! LOL I'm addicted to my UGGS now anyway. :-) Hope you had a good day!

Change and refresh or I guess we go stale. It's good to move on, being grateful for what has been.

Gave away my heeled shoes when we married, they made me taller than DH. Bare feet is my preference mostly.

Hey Linda!! We didn't do anything great as well, watched a bit tv, had some nice food. I don't like all the noise on Dec 31st, never did.
But I do like your card :) It really is a fun image.

i go for comfy, rather than glam or heels when it comes to shoes ... and usually clothes too. and i find that i am less and less bothered by staying up for the moment of the midnight strike, as each year passes.
