Be Brave..

Hello,
I wanted to start off by saying thanks so much
for the big response from my last post.  I had so much fun
reading all your thoughts on the subject..
Sounds like most of us do think alike!
Thanks again my sweet FRIENDS..

This has been one of those weeks,
So relaxing, not a whole lot on my plate, so you
think I would have been playing in my craft room more.
That was my intentions.  But time just got away me!
Don't get me wrong. I did get a little time to play in my
Art journal.  But I just thought I would have accomplished a
lot more.  Such is life..  Just enjoying the journey!

I did this mixed media page..  So much fun!
I have to say I just love this style of Art!

Believe it or not this butterfly is a digi stamp.
I blew it up and colored it and then used modge podge
to glue it down. .

I just love this quote.. I think its just perfect for
this stage of my ART journey..

The next page is an experiment..
It just so happens I woke up around 2:00am
and could not get back to sleep.  So why not try something
new!!!

These flowers were done with wax pastels..
So fun.  I drew the outline of the flowers and leafs.
And then did a whole lot of rubbing with my finger..
I guess that was the only problem..  After awhile my finger started
to hurt!  I guess that's the price we pay for Art!!  Hee Hee!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,  Linda

Hi Linda,
I loved reading your previous post and must admit to often smiling at my computer like you, while hubby watches the football. I can get a bit obsessive and then I know it is time to take a break for a while....
I love these two pages. Your butterfly is gorgeous! And the flowers - I love the way you have scratched into the wax.
I often can't sleep at night and find myself in my craftroom with an open sketch book and a cup of tea.
Lovely and quiet then!!

Oo, I love the colors in your butterfly piece, and the wax pastel drawing is lovely...I bet it was relaxing to do. I get up at 2 sometimes too, but haven't started a whole page before, maybe I should? :-)

I just love papers and colors and it's so fun to visit and see what you're up to!

but, after the first sentence, I had to stop and go look at your last post. ;) and, yes, I've been on a journey for the last five years of not worry about approval of others and to just express and be me. I'm loving this life lesson - even though it hurts like heck, at moments.

Thanks for the goodly encouraging and inspiring thoughts. They were just what I needed, today! =]

Love,

Katy xxo

Super beautiful, Linda! YOu have such an eye for art. On those close up pics you do, do you use a 50 mm lens, or something else? You're able to get so close. Thanks for the help!
