Home Sweet Home....

I have a new little friend that has made him self at home!
This new little friend has been sharing the feeder
with a gal with the crazy beak.
And she doesn't let anyone else drink from her feeder..

Call me crazy but I think they got something going on!!
If you know what I mean..

Crazy Lady with that crazy beak!!

So I thought is was kinda cool when this weeks theme over
Home Sweet Home..

So sweet Kirsty is Challenging us to make a project with
a bird cage and the words Home Sweet Home.

So I decided to try another mixed media page in my journal.
I had so much fun with this.  I sketched out the bird free hand on
some paper and cut her out..  I can't believe she look that good!!

My birdcage is a stamp I have and I blew it up on my printer
and cut it out and decoupaged it on!
Then a whole lot of doodling and panting and rub-ons.
And I do have to say I just love her red shoes..

And Another journal page done!!
How Fun!!

I do believe he likes it also.. Hee Hee..

One more thing before I let you go.  I got my stitches out
yesterday and I am feeling great!!  I do believe my scare will heal
nicely..  Thanks so much for all your well wishes.
You guys are the best!!

Hugs, Linda

You project looks fantastic.
Can't get over that broken looking beak on the bird.

Lisa said...

As an avid hummer watcher, I wonder what could have happened to that beak. I hope it's not causing problems for the hummer while eating. The ones in my yard don't like to share their food sources, so this is pretty special!

Gillian Olson said...

Great pictures, but I was concerned about the hummer with the curved beak, I guess it can feed OK because it looks healthy otherwise. Good work.

Reena said...

Those look terrific! And your little crazy beak girl ... so glad to see her still around and now has a friend! That beak is just something else!

Tracy said...

Oh that poor little darlin'! She must have such a hard time trying to drink. Apparently she has learned to adapt though. Glad she has a friend.
Your project is just super duper cute. I love how your birdie tuned out--red shoes and all. LOL It's such a fun page with lots to catch the eye. :-)
So glad to hear you're feeling lots better. Hugs!

Wow, Linda, you're so remarkably talented. I'm amazed. You should have your own line of journals! Wow. Love the hummingbird. We still have tons of them at the house, but a cool front is set to come through tomorrow. I'm sure the numbers will dwindle, but it's time to move on. Hopefully I've fattened them up for their journey. God bless.

Lovely Hummingbird captures! I imagine the bird with the deformed bill can drink nectar, but she must have a hard time catching insects.

Colleen Dietrich said...

GREAT pix of the hummingbirds! And how appropriate is it that the cards this week revolve around birds? Glad you got your stitches out. :)
