Hello my friends.

Today I bring you  photos of happy flowers.
All the way from Solvang, CA.

When we go on our little trips we love to go exploring or hiking
or just take a drive along the Pacific Coast Hwy.

This trip was a bit different.  We just hung out and relaxed.
But after the third day my hubby decided we should take a little
drive into Solvang.  And I am so glad we did.  We have been there
many times. And we just love this little Dutch town.

But this time was a bit different.
There were so many flowers blooming everywhere.
What a lovely site it was.

It was a perfect day to take a stroll in this scenic little town.
If you have never been here it is well worth the drive.
Lots of cute little shops and restaurants.  One could spend a
whole day and not see it all.

Do you see that Olsens Bakery shop.
We stopped in there and got a whole tub of Danish butter cookies.
I think I already polished off half that tub..
They taste so yummy dipped in my coffee.

So here is my project for this weeks challenge over at
City Crafters Challenge Blog.

This weeks challenge is All About Glitter.
Charlene is our hosted this week and wants us to add some
sparkle to your project.

As you can see I used glitter glue on my journal page.
I did a whole lot of outlining with the sparkly glue.

I used acrylic and watercolor paints on this page.
Along with some scrapbook paper for my flower.
This page came together pretty easy and was a lot of fun to create.

I also love the little happy reminder
on this page.  Makes me smile.

So to get the details on this challenge you can head on over to

So I hope you chose to be happy as well today.

I know It makes me happy that you
stopped in today..

I am a bit behind on visiting you all.
But I plan on stopping by to see what you have
been up to soon!

Till next time.

Thank you so much...

For all your well wishes.
I slept most of the day away and woke up the next
morning feeling wonderful.  In fact, I spent all
morning out in my backyard..

And as I was sitting outside sipping my coffee, these little
fellas were just begging to have their photos taken.

These little red finches are pretty spooky birds.
Every time I go outside, they all fly into my Star Jasmine.
It takes them quite awhile before they pop out again.
But I had my camera out and was waiting.

****

I also have a journal page to share with you. I was going to
show you it on Tuesday because I used some more of that map
on my background.  But I had no photos of it until now.

It's a mixed media mosaic page.  I had a blast making this
page. Lots and Lots of mod podge. You know how much
I love to play with it and make a big gooey mess.

A lovely lady named Linda made a Youtube video that explained how to make this
page. If you would like to see it you can hop on over HERE
I used an old cereal box and used Mod Podge to glue the papers down
to the box. And then I cut them out into the shapes you see.

On the video they called them tiles.
And it is crazy...they kinda are like tiles.
Really thick and sturdy.

My Theme was Paris.  It's just a dream of mine to
go there one day.  (No not in my trailer). LOL.

I actually pulled out my hot glue gun to attach
most of the tiles.  But I used foam dots to raise the Eiffel Tower.

I had so much fun making this page, so I am going to do another.
I am thinking PINK and SPARKLY.
You know I love to play with glitter.

That's all I have for today.

I am so glad you stopped by.
I will see you soon my sweet friends.

Happy Birthday...

Hello my sweet friends.  Just a quick little post today to wish
a special someone a Happy Birthday..

This is my Daughter and she turns 25 today..
That can't be right, I can't be old enough to have a 25 year old.
I have to say she is the best daughter anyone could ever ask for
I am one lucky mom..

You know I made her a birthday card but in my hurry to
get ready for my trip I had forgot to take a photo of it.

But I have done a page in my
Art Journal a while ago..  I can't remember if
I had shared it with you or not.  So I am sharing it
with you now.

Happy Birthday Jessica...
I do hope you enjoy your day.

Happy colors..

Hello my sweet friends..
I have been playing in my Art Journal once again..
This page I made for this weeks challenge over at
City Crafters Challenge Blog.

It's my week to Host once again and my challenge this week
is a color challenge.  Bright greens and yellows..
Happy colors don't ya think.

I have to say I had so much fun creating this page.

First, I drew out the the flowers and stems and then I used my water color
crayons to color this up so pretty.  I made my own rub-on here to add the quote.
As you can see I put one too may words in here and didn't notice till
I was all done.  Oh well. No crying over spilled milk.   :(

And then I pulled out my different sizes of sharpies to outline and
add some fun doodles.

So my crafty friends if you would like all the details on this
challenge you can hop on over to
City Crafters Challenge blog to get all the details.

So glad you stopped by my friends.

You are my sunshine...

If you saw my last post I am sure you will remember seeing
this face..  I had so much fun creating this.
Even though I could have done better job on the shading..
Still learning my friends.

This here project is yet another page in my Art journal.
And it is for this weeks challenge over at
City Crafters Challenge Blog.   Ros is our hostess this week
and our challenge is called...  Wishi Washi 2.
Use Washi tape on your project along with 2 other items.

Washi tape is all over the craft world right now.
I guess cause its so versatile..  The only washi tape I have is from Tim Holtz.
As seen in the photo above..  I also use a doily for the leaves and a flower
for my other two items..

Like I said this journal page was a lot of fun
to create. I drew and painted the face on to the newspaper and then
used gel medium to put it on to my page.  I had already done
the background to my page. And then I added the stem and leaves the same way.

The word bloom is a rub-on that I made myself from my computer..

If you would like to get the details of this challenge you can check it out
over at CCCB..

So I don't know if you remember back in June when I watched these
two gals for a week..  Well I am watching them once again.
We spent the day doing crafts and swimming and once again
they wore me out..  Tomorrow we will be going Ice Skating.
Yep you heard me right "ICE SKATING"..  I haven't been Ice Skating in
about 20 years..  I used to be pretty good at it.. We shall see.
I just hope I don't break something..

Well that's all I have for now.
Take care my sweet friends.

Believe...

Hello my sweet friends.  I am back today to show you a
page in my Art Journal.  I am so happy that I found a little time
to play in my journal and do a little creating.  I have been trying
to learn how to do a little bit of lettering..  I still need quite a bit
of practice.

I had no idea what this page was going to be when
I first started out.  I just started laying down layers and layers of paint till
I was happy with the background and the page just evolved from there.

And then I found this little angel image from the Graphic Fairy.
See I told you I love using there images.
When I saw it I just knew I was going to use it.

For my flowers I used a heart shaped punch.
And lots of Mod Podge..

I had a lot of fun with this page and I am looking forward to
a little more practice with my lettering..

Remember last weekend when I said I was doing a photo
shoot with my girlfriends daughter..   I thought I would share
a couple of the photos with you.

Thanks goodness I don't have to do any editing on these
photos..  This young lady is already a pro at Photoshop and
will be editing her own photos.. YEA!

This is the proud mom..  Rachel is not looking to excited that her
mom jumped into the photo..   I love this shot. That face is priceless..

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting me.
I really do appreciate all the love and support
you gals give me.

Dreaming of Paris...

I am having one of those types of morning were I just
can't get going.  I am on my third cup of coffee and
my head still feels like its in a fog.  Now I am wishing
I would have gotten this post ready earlier, Cause I really
don't know if I am making any sense.
And I am just getting started.

I have been playing in my Art Journal again.
This weeks theme over at City Crafters Challenge Blog
is brought to us by Ros..  The Theme is BonVoyage.

I have to admit at first I was totally stumped at
what I was going to do..

But once I decided on what to create it came along pretty easy.

I really enjoyed creating this page. To me it was a little
like making a big card.  But instead of taping all the papers down
I used lots of medium gel mat.

And I wish I had more little embellishment to add but I
think it turned out OK with what I had.

I just hate my hand writing but I really wanted this
page to say how much I would love to visit Paris someday.
And writing in a journal is what it is all about.
Even though I don't do it to often.

So If you would like to join us this week and
create something with a BonVoyage theme we would love
to see it..  To get all the details on this challenge you
can head on over to City Crafters Challenge blog.

Well that's not all I have to show you today.
I have created a CAS Christmas card.

I just love this Christmas tree image.
I know... Christmas already.  This is the first of many I hope.

As you can see from this photo I had fun with my heat gun..
It's been so long since I had embossed anything.  I almost forgot how..

I am linking this to JINGLE BELLES challenge.
June Houck is hosting for them this week and the challenge is
Green or Red but not both..

I hope you all have a Happy Week and
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting.

Hugs~
