Visions of Sugarplums

Hello my sweet friends
I am back today to share with you an event that is going on.
It has been going on for 3 days now and today is the
4th day. I was excited when I was asked to be
a part of this event once again.
What is this event you ask?  You did ask, right?

You can click right on the photo and it will
Take you over to the Big Event. Lots of prizes are being
given away.  So what do you have to lose? Hop on over.
But to see what I have created for this Big Event
keep on scrolling down.

What are these tiny little envelops you ask?
Boy you're asking a lot of questions today. Hee Hee..

These are tiny little envelopes so that you can fit a
gift card into them perfectly..  I know I will be giving out quite
a few gift cards this Christmas.  And now they will look pretty.

I really didn't have a pattern. I just kinda
made it up as I went along.

I cut out some felt flower from my Big Shot
and topped it off with a button.
And of course lots of stitching.

When you untie the bow it opens up and
that is where you tuck in that gift card.
A perfect fit.

I had fun creating these little envelopes.
I hope you enjoyed seeing them.

So here is a list of all the stops for today:

blog hop that's going on all coordinated by
Lori from Choux-Choux!!
Lots of wonderful post
to get you in the Christmas spirit!!

I was invited to join in all the fun!!

I am sharing a favorite recipe of mine!!
I try to make these every Christmas my family just
loves them.

They are called Jeweled Coconut drops,
And I am sharing the recipe with you!
Just in case you want to give them a try!

1/3 cup butter, softened
1 package (3oz.) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons orange juice
1 teaspoon almond extract
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3-3/4 cups flaked coconut, divided
1 cup seedless raspberry preserves, warmed

In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese and sugar until
light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk, orange juice and almond extract.
combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed
creamed mixture and mix well.  Stir in 3 cups of coconut.  Refrigerate
for 30 minutes or until easy to handle.  Shape dough into 2-in. balls;
roll in remaining coconut.  Place 2 in apart on ungreased baking
sheet.  Using the end of a wooden spoon handle, make an indentation
the center of each ball.  Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until lightly
browned.  Remove to wire racks to cool.
Fill each cookie with preserves.

If you leave a comment on my blog and on all
the blogs below your name will be put into a
drawing for some free digital stamps.
And all the other ladies will have something
to share with you to get you in the Christmas mood!
