Just a quick post to show you what I 

created for this weeks 

Colors of Summer Challenge. 

You know I had to throw in a photo of a flower. 

I wish this flower was from my yard. But its not. 

Its way too hot to have flowers like this

for very long.. They burn up pretty quick here in the desert.

This shot was taken in California on our last trip.  

The color this week was Baseball Nut.

And here is what I created..

In my Life Book class Juliette Crane has given us

a lesson on how to paint an owl.. 

I gave it my best shot.. 

Now that I am looking at the colors I used. I think

its a little too pink for the challenge.

I should have used a more of a purple tone. 

Not one of my favorite pages.  But I had so much fun.

Talk about messy play. I am definitely going to try another one. 

I still have paint on my fingers..
