Hello lovely Friends

It's been a busy couple of weeks for us.
We have been busy making our way up the state of California.
Man this is one long state and we aren't even half way up the state.

But with relaxing views like this, we have been enjoying it every step of the way.

We are parked in Lompoc, CA right now and sad to say there is no ocean view.

So we jump in our truck and find the closest beach to Lompoc,
which is Jalama Beach.

This beach did not disappoint.

I can't think of a better way to spend the day than
walking the beach collecting shells and trying to get photo's of Birds.

Look at this guy.  It took me awhile to grab a shot of him.
I tried to look up what kind of bird this fella is and I came up with a Whimbrel.
He sure is fun to watch as he buries that beak into the sand looking for food.

Then at the end of the day stopping at the beach cafe and grabbing a burger.
Life is simply sweet my friends.

This week over at Song-ography the song is
Led Zeppelin's song,
"STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN"
A bit of a stretch but I have to say this was pretty heavenly.
Now only if they had a stairway here.

I'm not sure if I mentioned already.. we are headed to the Central California coast in April... I can't wait! We'll fly into San Fransisco and drive south through Big Sur.
Keep the suggestions coming as you have them.. we will mostly be visiting as California Coast newbies. :)
Beautiful shots, Linda. I love the assortment of shells!
